I don't think there is one yet, at least not one posted recently. If there is, feel free to correct me.
So, apparently, Ulrich was the only true werewolf in the set.
June 29, 2016 7:54 p.m.
I think in EDH it's solid.
In standard I'm not so sure.

shinobigarth because WotC current motto is "Here, you got what you wanted. It isn't good, but you're stuck with it."

Come now, It's best to remain optimistic. I, for one, welcome our new Werewolf Alpha.
June 29, 2016 8:12 p.m.
Wizards trolled so hard with 1 werewolf in this set. Lmao Looks like it's another set for the eldrazi.
June 29, 2016 8:14 p.m.
Maybe I should start a petition saying that Nahiri should be hung. Seriously, I want that b!@# dead more as spoiler season continues. I want to see Nahiri's death as the art for a card. Then I will be content.

Nightdragon779 to answer your question, no it would not work.
An ability is independent of its source, but whenever an exchange is taking place, both pieces of it must be present as the ability resolves.
Once you switch TOP's P/T, it'll die due to 0 toughness. Then its ability will resolve and have no effect.

It is very interesting to see Geralf and Gisa actually working together, so I am now wondering: when will Ludevic appear in the game? He has been mentioned far too often by this point for him to not appear, so I hope that WotC realizes that, as well.
June 29, 2016 8:21 p.m.
im just waiting for Xmage and cockatrice to add Gisa and Geralf so i can test them in my EDH deck and see if they're better than grim grin.

CanadianShinobi, I bet that's going to be the case with the 4-color commander decks this fall too.

Punderstorm Maybe. Spoiler season makes me bitter for whatever reason. I guess my expectations are too high. Maybe I'm just a little miffed at how WotC has tackled Lovecraftian horror.

@CChaos, pretty unlikely the tree gets banned in EDH. You have to be pretty game-warping to get banned typically. The tree's pretty good but not that incredible. If you look at the current banned list, all of the cards on it blow it out of the water (well except maybe Karakas, which I think is just on there because it's extremely annoying?).
Combining the tree with like Phenax, God of Deception and some untap trick seems funny, though.

Thanks to Rayenous, I just made a Standard Tree combo deck: Standard Tree Assault.
(Sorry to advertise it in here, just thought you guys would want to see it)

The_Redpill: Not to worry. I did it too when Brisela was spoiled.

The more I think about the red intro rare Assembled Alphas the more I like it... Honestly forget that its a creature and it's mana cost. Based solely on the ability as if it was an enchantment, how much would you be willing to pay for it? for that effect I'd pay 4 mana probably as fair, 3 would make it an auto-include 5 maybe only at one or two copies just for that ability as an aura. Now for a 5/5 creature we'd probably also pay about 4-5 mana and be happy about it. Yes this card is high on the curve but it has insane value and I like it more and more... I kinda want to try to make it playable now on like turn 4 possibly finding Vessel of Volatility a home...

i feel like wizards messed up not making this a 3 arc set. the story feels too accelerated (like Anguished Unmaking spoiling avacyn's death). Emrakul's arrival is messing everything up there doesnt seem to be room to develop the tribes correctly.
it is interesting to see some of the new spoiled werewolves have a flip cost rather then a trigger (werewolf eldrazi) ...
as for Tree of Perdition in edh, its still worse then Sorin Markov or Magister Sphinx ... but i like the combo of the tree making Triskaidekaphobia and instant kill in standard.
June 30, 2016 12:17 a.m.
I like the set, so far. I do have to agree things are getting accelerated, but I feel like WOTC is attempting to learn on the fly which does lead to hiccups along the way. Hard to please everyone without breaking too many cards.

shinobigarth it would have been cool if they were separate and melded to make a Zombie Eldrazi named Gerisa, Supreme Necromancer and "whenever a creature an opponent controls dies put a 2/2 zombie token into play and put +1/+1 counters on Gerisa equal to that creatures toughness." Would incorporate classic "ghoulcalling" as well as stitching, and would be a zombie subtype. That's the kind of flavor I was hoping for I suppose. Or if they simply transformed into the above creature somehow as a DFC. Better yet, make them not even an Eldrazi subtype and instead call them Gerisa, Ludevic's Betrayel Embodied. Or combine a Ludevic and Geralf and call it Luderalf, Gisa's Last Laugh and do an ability that adds counters upon death of creature and also whenever a creature dies you may flip target double faced card. I would've liked to see some meld/transform aspect to the card

Harmless Offering: Just... why? It feels so out of place in this set. Definitely not worth being a rare either. It's even terrible in limited unless there's some uncommon that you can donate to someone to basically win the game. That's literally the only way you could justify making this a rare.
June 30, 2016 2:32 a.m.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA @ the "definitely not worth being a rare either" comment. A card's perceived power level does not determine it's rarity, how often WotC wants the card to show up in limited does. In other words, it's not a rare because Wizards thinks it's one of the most powerful cards in the set, it's a rare because Wizards doesn't want multiple people pulling multiples of these at every draft/sealed event. If your going to complain about something, knowing how things work first is usually advised. I mean, if you really feel the card is that bad/useless then the last thing you'd want is for it to be a common or uncommon. That would just make it far more likely that it shows up in your sealed pool or more likely that multiples end up getting passed around in a draft. And, if you don't play sealed or draft, then it's rarity is basically completely irrelevant (like your complaint) since card rarities are more for limited purposes than constructed purposes.
June 30, 2016 4:47 a.m.
Well, rarity influences more than just availability for limited purposes
- some effects like Donate are always done at rare because they are complex; for example, you will not see Planeswalkers below Mythic rare.
- For the same reason, rare and mythic rare effects feel more special. Ulvenwald Hydra does not do something more exciting than Pelakka Wurm but it is more exciting because it is a mythic.
- Rares are almost always more expensive than cards at lower rarities, since there is less of them.
- Being a rare also means that if the card could work as Punderstorm suggests with an uncommon in the set, you do not want that interaction to happen too often, so reducing as-fan is a good way to do it.

Emerge \ When you cast "Dcimateur des provinces", creatures you control get +2/+2 and get trample until end of turn. \ Trample, haste
June 30, 2016 6:05 a.m.
The Kitty has a happy combo with Triskaidekaphobia + Tree + etc.
Donate it to your opponent at the end of your turn to avoid a whole turn of sorcery responses.
It's not brilliant, but accelerates things.
June 30, 2016 6:44 a.m.
decimator of provinces above is mini Craterhoof Behemoth and is the better win condition in GBx Rites decks. 9/9 trample, haste on its own is quite the power level.
June 30, 2016 6:47 a.m.
Does it get the +2/+2 boost ? I ask because the boost occurs when you cast the spell, not when it enters the battlefield... (7/7 trample is not bad btw)
June 30, 2016 6:55 a.m.
No, since Decimator of the Provinces is not on the field when you cast it, so it doesn't get the +2/+2 buff
June 30, 2016 6:57 a.m.
Yeah, it is when you cast it, so you cannot even Chord of Calling into it and it won't get the boost itself, sigh...
June 30, 2016 6:58 a.m.
You could, however cast two, and the first will get the boost, but that's just silly :)

Woah. I'd read articles by various people at Wizards that said Donate was perhaps among the few cards they regretted printing. The reasoning was it made them have to think a lot harder about how downsides on explosive cards work.
Well, cards have fewer downsides these days. Maybe they thought it was time to double down and shift it into a color without counterspells??
June 30, 2016 7:23 a.m.
Harmless offering is going to be ridiculous once it finds its proper combo home in the Eternal Formats...

Just realised that on the WPN site that one of the booster pack artworks depicts Tamiyo... New Tamiyo Confirmed? :)
Also has Liliana's art from the announcement page, so I think that's a sign that's art she'll have.
June 30, 2016 7:58 a.m.
Tamiyo boosters have been known since the trailer. Liliana's art will not be the key art used in marketing, but rather the one in the story article yesterday:
June 30, 2016 8:01 a.m. Edited.
Boza is that confirmed? I've been hoping they'd use that art ever since I saw it
June 30, 2016 8:28 a.m.
They never really use key art (aka art for promo products like playmats and posters) on the actual card. However, art on products like UltraPro sleeves and boosters is actual card art, so Tamiyo will have her trailer/booster pack art. Also, planeswalker art is usually done from a full frontal angle like this one in the art above, compared to the other Lili art that is looking at her from below.

I'm thinking Shaman of Forgotten Ways will work quite nicely to go:
T3: Shaman of Forgotten Ways
T4: 9CMC Emerge cost by tapping then sac'ing the Shaman. (Plus the 4 land you should have)
Now... hopefully there will be a creature worth playing, with a 9CMC Emerge cost.
June 30, 2016 8:42 a.m. Edited.
Just noticed 'Decimater of Provinces' Cast cost with Emerge cost.... not sure it's worth doing this play for though. Sacing the Shaman means at most 2 other creatures, reducing the value of casting Decimator on T4... still 7/7 Trample Haste and other creatures getting +2/+2 and Trample is fun.

What do you guys think of that vampire? The back side transform ability is sick, but it's a hell of a cost. Very black risk/reward-wise.
