I don't think there is one yet, at least not one posted recently. If there is, feel free to correct me.

See the difference?
The dot is misplaced. Highly likely a fake.
July 3, 2016 4:10 p.m.
shinobigarth says... #4
i meant the dot shouldn't be where it is, its out of place.
July 3, 2016 4:19 p.m.
Omeros The other Lili was different. It gave you 50 2/2 Zambies lmao
July 3, 2016 4:21 p.m.
AwezomePozzum says... #6
shinobigarth: Exactly. Also too similar to Liliana of the Veil.
July 3, 2016 4:22 p.m.
shinobigarth says... #7
but its a lot less fake looking that the one i saw a few days ago from Reddit or something where her -8 was to put out 50 zombies. that was a dead giveaway. 50 freaking zombies for no extra work than -8 loyalty? lol nice try.
July 3, 2016 4:44 p.m.
I'm going to laugh so hard if that one is real. 50 2/2 Zambies; No wonder Emmy dies. lmao
July 3, 2016 5:01 p.m.
Me: 13 2/2 Zombies? That's pretty damn sweet.
...
TAPPED?!! Flips a table

Meh, I would take it. It at least would drop to like 4 bucks so that I could pick up some without dropping a lot of money.

shinobigarth: Also has the same card number as Graf Rats. 91.
July 3, 2016 6:08 p.m.
AwezomePozzum says... #13
Or the other one, but one of the cards that meld into Chittering Host is number 91.
July 3, 2016 6:08 p.m.
shinobigarth says... #14
yeah i don't bother looking at what card is what number, but i wondered that myself.
also, 13 zombies is great and fair if they enter tapped. and the whole 13 theme of course which helps make the card seem believable.
July 3, 2016 6:22 p.m.
Ok... 13 blockers is decent and all, but as far as winning the game, the zombies would have summoning sickness either way. Tapped or no, she doesn't win you the game any faster with that ultimate.
July 3, 2016 6:24 p.m.
So far I've been disappointed with the possible versions of Liliana... Tamiyo, Field Researcher is amazing and overpowered as crap so I just hope we get a similarly overpowered Liliana that does something interesting instead of the standard template for walkers.
July 3, 2016 6:32 p.m.
Am I the only one that doesn't think Tamiyo is OP? She's good but not LotV or Jace good. I can't be the only one.
July 3, 2016 6:37 p.m.
PistonGolem says... #19
Zaueski the odds of an OP Lili are low. I see cards that have more hard to fufill mana costs, such as Tamiyo requiring Bant colors, also being more powerful. The Lili could be op, but it would have to cost BBB or something like that...
July 3, 2016 6:48 p.m.
shinobigarth says... #20
i dont think she's OP either. people i've talked to other places think its gonna be easy peasy to get her ult off and then win, but that's easier said than done in modern. one single Bolt and she goes down to 1, then you have a lot longer to wait to ult her and try to keep her from dying.
July 3, 2016 6:49 p.m.
Tamiyo, Field Researcher: +1 Requires a little bit more ingenuity than Jace but can potentially get more card advantage than him. It can be used as blocker and attacker deterrence. Then if you throw vigilance in its just soooo powerful. -2 This is her worst ability, you'd almost never use it so it probably puts her down just under them. -7 Holy crap nuggets this is good. All three of them have amazing game-ending ultimates so they're tied there.
Jace, the Mind Sculptor: +2 is decent card control, only really super powerful thing is its a +2 not a +1. 0 Super good card advantage but doesn't add to his loyalty. -1 stupid good removal, 'nuff said. -12 Takes a turn longer to reach than Tamiyo but is completely game ending, also it doesn't kill him so that's good.
Liliana of the Veil: +1 Is good hand control but it affects you too so it could be a lot better. -2 Gets rid of a creature regardless of abilities but it is easily circumvented by more than 1 creature being out. -6 Also takes 3 turns to reach and can completely end a game.
All things considered I'd rank those three in the order of Jace, Tamiyo, then Liliana. She's not the best walker ever, but she is insanely powerful.
Edit: In regards to the bolt argument, note that she survives while Jace and Lili both die
July 3, 2016 6:51 p.m. Edited.
shinobigarth says... #22
doesnt matter if she survives a Bolt and they don't. sometimes if you simply keep a walker down in loyalty to where they can only do 1 ability, thats all it takes to make them useless. plus at 1 or 2 loyalty, really only 1 creature would have to get through to her, or just finisher her off with another burn spell or ability.
July 3, 2016 7:04 p.m.
AwezomePozzum says... #23
shinobigarth, Zaueski: Lightning Bolt can't target PWs anyway so it being in bolt range doesn't matter(In most cases).
DuTogira: Reckless Bushwhacker. One of my favorite comboes in RU is that and Rise from the Tides. If you give 'em haste and they are untapped, good. They enter the battlefield tapped on this liliana as a workaround to this combo(or something similar) I'm guessing.
July 3, 2016 7:12 p.m.
Yes, because a Walker that can only use 1 ability is worse than a Walker in the graveyard that can do nothing lol. All joking aside she will be a standard powerhouse for sure, especially with how popular bant is right now. Modern play will be a little bit harder because of the Tricolor cost, but I still expect her to see play.

JANKYARD_DOG says... #25
From Wizards:
Other sources can deal damage to Planeswalkers. If a spell or ability you control would deal damage to an opponent, you may have it deal that damage to a Planeswalker that opponent controls instead. So while you can't target a Planeswalker with a Shock, you can have a Shock that targets your opponent deal 2 damage to one of his or her Planeswalkers instead of to the player.
So yes, you can Bolt a Walker technically speaking.

Mj3913 Ah, i'm not very familiar with that rule apparently, probably because I own 0 planeswalkers. Excuse me.

MagicalHacker says... #27
If that's real, then apparently it's part of blacks color pie to be boring. Thanks Ob Nixilis Reignited.
July 3, 2016 7:52 p.m.
Here's a wombo-combo:
turn1: Oath of Nissa = free anticipate
turn2: some 2 drop
turn3: Oath of Gideon, get two 1/1 tokens
turn4: tamiyo, field researcher, comes in with 5, spins up to 6, attack, draw2.
turn5: coax from the blind eternities (eldrazi wish) -> emrakul/ulamog/kozilek, tamiyo spins up to 7
turn6: tamiyo spins down to 0 for ultimate, cast your eldrazi titan for 0, cast Eldrazi Displacer for 0, flicker your eldrazi titan for 3, have fun winning the came.
New permanent lock for modern: use Ugin's Nexus and emrakul grants no extra turns, now you only need to pay 3 each turn for controling every turn of your opponent.
Similar to mindslaver-lock, but way faster to set up and cheaper to cast. Call me Harry!
July 3, 2016 8:33 p.m.
------ that doesn't work because Emrakul triggers on casting not ETB
July 3, 2016 8:40 p.m.
AwezomePozzum says... #30
Zaueski: He might not be talking about EDH. ROE Emrakul(the aeons torn) might be what he's referring to.
July 3, 2016 8:42 p.m.
AwezomePozzum says... #31
Nvrmind, I was talking about the wish part. The flickering doesn't work with newrakul, I understand.
July 3, 2016 8:43 p.m.
He was talking about a mindslaver lock, which is specific to New'rakul
July 3, 2016 8:43 p.m.
This went downhill fast...I don't have the time to explain why Tamiyo will not dominate Modern. Just sayin.
July 3, 2016 9:50 p.m.
demonicgrizzly says... #34
DrFunk27 bant in modern is like one deck, maybe two. Infect doesn't want it or need it. Thats like the only deck in modern that I can think of that runs bant colors.
I am with you. I think it is too color restrictive for it to dominate modern.
July 3, 2016 10:11 p.m.
MTG Lion is saying he thinks that Damnation will be reprinted... Damnation... WotC has already said they won't be making 4 mana board wipes like Wrath of God, Day of Judgment, Supreme Verdict or anything else that costs 4 and just "destroys all creatures".
I think he's totes wrong. But on Blogatog Rosewater did say that monday's spoiler will be something that people have been asking for for a long time. Also he hinted it's something that reddit really wants.
Aside from Damnation what could this be? Something that we've wanted for a long time that either has never been printed before or that was printed only once that is not on the reserve list.
As far as reprints my thinking is it will be Liliana of the Veil..
I know Liliana is extremely powerful but my thinking is she's a natural opposite of the new Tamiyo. One draws you cards and is played in a deck with lots of creatures and the other discards cards and can destroy one creature. The other reason I think this is that Liliana hasn't been spoiled yet but we know she'll be back. Lastly I don't know if this matters but the price of Jund in modern floats around $2,000 dollars and many other T1 decks are at or around $1,300.00 dollars.
Honestly though I expect it to be something "new" that we've wanted for a long time. We already got our legendary werewolf and our "werewolf planeswalker" type card though so I don't know what it will be. The only other thing I could think of, and this is a long shot, is a new Tibalt.
Is this Tibalts time to unleash his brilliance upon the world as a walker??? (Tamiyo gained a new color and MaRo says he thinks Tibalt is as far as color identity goes.) Also Tibalt had only 6 less votes than Daretti, Scrap Master Savant in the huge character bracket MaRo did.

Summary Dismissal

Exile all other spells and counter all abilities.
"Let's start fresh, shall we?"
Also, Mark Rosewater's input on Tibalt.

Nice, some playable blue spells. first Unsubstantiate, and now this. Yay!
July 3, 2016 10:52 p.m.
GoldGhost012 says... #38
This spell also counters the on-cast abilities of Eldrazi like World Breaker and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, which helps shore up the Ramp match-up for my Mono-Blue Prison deck. :)
July 3, 2016 10:56 p.m.
AwezomePozzum says... #39
Ooooh yes. That is amazing. Control getting serious hugs from WoTC right now. Yay! My pillow fort deck is gonna have some new additions!
July 3, 2016 11:02 p.m.
Yes thank god we can stop the Eldrazi and their cast triggers! Finally!
I've wanted this since before Emrakul, the Aeons Torn was banned in Commander. (Maybe he always was but I swear there was a time when I had to play against him.)
Also it's a shame not seeing Tibalt but as far as lore goes he's just out Planeswalking somewhere so we'll see him eventually i'm sure.

I'm iffy on the realness of it.
The fact that it's just saying "counter all abilities" is a red flag for me.
All other spells, like Voidslime or Stifle include "activated or triggered" abilities. What's to stop someone from making the argument, albeit a dumb one, that this spell stops static abilities? The incomplete wording makes me err on the side of caution.
July 3, 2016 11:14 p.m.
This seems really oddly specific...
Here is the king of counters (in standard) lol
July 3, 2016 11:34 p.m.
Note that Summary Dismissal, in addition to completely shutting Eldrazi cast triggers down, can counter uncounterable spells
July 3, 2016 11:36 p.m.
Weird that they aren't on mythic spoiler or anything yet.
July 3, 2016 11:48 p.m.
And you get the effect of Providence twice...
That's a neat card if it's true. Bad I think but neat.
It makes me think Kozilek, the Great Distortion could be fun... Ulamog is probably just better though...
July 3, 2016 11:50 p.m.
I got them off of mtgsalvation this time, I fluctuate between that one and mythic spoiler as they tend to be the most reliable.
July 3, 2016 11:52 p.m.
Zaueski: Oh they're up on mtgsalvation? Hm, mythicspoiler you've failed me.
July 3, 2016 11:54 p.m.
also TheManaSource over on youtube is about to do his preview card in 4 minutes if anyone else wants to tune in.
kengiczar says... #1
I think the ultimate giving 13 tokens is fine considering how many turns it takes..
Especially when the new Tamiyo gives you Omniscience and draws you three cards.
