Embodiment of SpringUCreature - Elemental1G, T: Sacrifice Embodiment of Spring: Search your library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle your library.

Arel dreamed of winter's end. The next morning she followed a strange trail and found a seedling in the snow.

Colour me unimpressed. T2 at the earliest, needs to tap, and you already need two colours of mana before it'll get you anything. I suppose a big butt T1 makes the vanilla test, but it's really not very exciting.

It's a common. Why would it do anything good?

We can dream haha. I know the card in question isn't super good, but commons sometimes are powerful and/or format defining

I mean...It's basically just as good as Rampant Growth on the first couple turns. The only real downside is that you can't play Elvish Mystic on T1 into this. I think this will see play in limited as long as you're in the colors, and I think it would see construcuted play if there weren't already so many good mana dorks.

Ya'll bitches need some enlightening here. LEt me tell you why!

  1. This card helps mana fix.
  2. This card helps get your fatties out a turn earlier by ramping.
  3. Most importantly, this card is playedd turn one to shut down any quick aggro strategies. After it has done it's job for a couple turns you can then sac to ramp. That way, you can get the creatures that cost a lot, out a turn early. It encourages a heavy midrange strategy which is expected fr0m the temr=ur! not bad i say

Sakura-Tribe Elder is slightly better because you can chump attack with it and sacrifice it when needed, whereas you need to tap to sacrifice Embodiment of Spring. However, I can still see this as being played some.

You can also sac Sakura-Tribe Elder the turn it comes out - or chump block that turn and sac it, while with the Embodiment, you have to have it hang around until your next upkeep. That makes a big difference, IMO.
