Additional Information:
@EmblemMan, this is because Wizards do not own the original art - until 10 years ago (or maybe a bit more) all rights to the art belonged to the artist. So older art like Karakas may not actually belong to Wizards, so they cannot use it.

I do not see anyone mentioning it so:
- Unexpectedly Absent is unexpectedly present at rare.
- Cabal Therapy is reprinted at uncommon level, which is awesome!

Boza that is a good point but it doesnt have to be the old art necessarily but maybe an homage to it or just something better like even free standing I dont like the art that much

Why are they reprinting Nevinyrral's Disk? Most EDH players who need it have already bought it, as it's super cheap. The one to be reprinted should be Oblivion Stone...

To note: None of the EMA reprints are based on secondary market prices.
They are decided by a team at Wizards whose main responsibility is crafting a good drafting environment.

At what rarity do you want them to print the most broken card in Limited we have seen so far? The rarities all make sense if you account for "main responsibility is crafting a good drafting environment".
Also, "not every card can appeal to every player" and the classic "not all mythic rares have to be constructed staples".

My biggest issue with Balance is that I'm not sure why they chose to print it. I think you're entirely right Boza that, if it gets printed it needs to be at mythic for the Limited environment, but right now I just don't see why it fits in the set.
Of course, there are still 200+ cards to be spoiled, so perhaps it lines up really well with one of the themes or archetypes of the set and I just can't see it yet.

I am so glad I did not buy a box of this set. There are so few value reprints so far.
Karakas is the only card that is currently a 100+ dollar card in the set.
3 of the mythics are in the 50-100 dollar range (Jace, Mana Crypt and Force).
The rest are 20-50 range, with 3 mythics below that range, with Balance being the Eternal version of Comet Storm in MM2.

Idk I'm starting o have thoughts of just opening and cubing the shit out of this set. It seems so fun omg. I could care less about the less pricy mythics; the set ain't about making money off of your pulls.
I'm just happy it's more likely that I can get a Mana Crypt and hopefully a Berserk

Whether the value is high, low, or just right... I badly want to see how EMA plays out in draft now. A bunch of tutors, good removal, and broken cards have to make things entertaining.

Anyone else keeping track of pack EV? Just wanting to compare...
Looking at just the Rares/Mythics/Uncommons, without the commons or foils, I've currently got the pack EV at $20.36.
This is using SCG pricing, just because they appear to be updating their prices immediately after a card is spoiled... almost as though they knew what cards were going to be in the set ahead of time...
Of course, this will be adjusted as card prices fluctuate. - But I do expect many of the card prices that drop to rise fairly soon after, just like many MM1 cards did.

I'm sure there's a logical explanation. At work I know a few peoples who update the company websites pricings. It usually takes a while, since they're uploading huge price files at a time. On a much smaller scale, say for a single card, it shouldn't take that long?

Yeah... I honestly believe they are just updating quickly.
As fast as I see the spoilers, they can see them just as fast, if not faster. - Since I don't go checking their site right away, they actually have quite a bit of time to set a price and post it.
Update:
I've added the EV for commons and foils.
Pack-EV is currently at $31.07. - This is estimating foils to be either, 1) average value of EMA non-foil and lowest current foil, or 2) EMA non-foil +25%... a little higher for cards that have never had a foil prior to EMA.

It's pretty useless to do pack EV's when they haven't spoiled everything yet. I'm still waiting to see what the chaff rares/uncommons will be.

I do expect the EV to drop... but when the EV of (12/15) Mythics and (22/53) Rares alone is currently at 30% more than MSRP, you can probably expect that adding the Uncommons, Commons and Foils will keep the EV well above MSRP, even if the rest of the Mythics/Rares are junk.
So... 'useless'? I think not.
Note: I will refrain from posting more EV info here. - I'll post in Economics when I update next.

So I will say that a lot of the cards spoiled are awesome and im glad they are being reprinted but I hate almost all of the new arts which is fine by me I can just get the older ones but man almost 0 cards have good art on them.
