Set Name: Eternal Masters
Number of Cards: 249
Release Date: June 10, 2016
Official Three Letter Code: EMA
MSRP: $9.99
Including:
It's worth noting that NOTHING ON THE RESERVED LIST WILL BE REPRINTED. So no ABUR duals and the like.
Additional Information:
I also disagree that this won't get new legacy players. The entry point is substantially lower now with these reprints.

APPLE01DOJ I'm not sure the current spoiled cards have lowered any particular decks pricetag enough to get newer players into legacy.
My EDH decks are certainly happy though.

This is the first 'master' set that I have actually wanted to draft. Also: I like that new Chrome Mox art...

The new printing of Mana Crypt is currently valued at $150, so I definitely shall not be purchasing any copies of it at any time soon (which actually pleases me, since I am very fond of both Sol Ring and Thran Dynamo, and would rather not replace them in my decks).
I do wish that WotC had chosen Damnation over Wrath of God, since Wog has been printed numerous times, but damnation has not been.
I have mixed feelings about Vindicate being reprinted, since it is a very awesome and powerful card, but I just purchased two copies of the full-art promo of Anguished Unmaking, so I hope that I do not later regret that decision if the price of the new printing of vindicate is sufficiently low. As a side note, the price of the first judge promo of vindicate is now only $45, which greatly displeases me, since it was once over $100, but at least that is still more than what I paid for the copy that I have, on which I spent only $20 to $25 (and I also am glad that WotC chose to reuse the 2013 artwork over the 2007 artwork, which is amazing and should be kept unique).
That reprint of Ashnod's Altar is amazing, and I am very surprised that it was not upgraded to a rare. The new artwork on Rorix Bladewing is very nice; while he does not look as lithe and agile as he did before, he still looks very powerful and badass.
Some other cards for which I am still hoping are Disenchant, because if there ever was a time for it to be reprinted, that time is now; Swords to Plowshares, which is one of the best creature removal cards ever printed and a staple for eternal formats; and Ancient Spider, simply because I wish to see it with the new card frame (preferably downgraded to an uncommon).

While these reprints aren't going to make Legacy suddenly cheap, they demonstrate:
Firstly, that WOTC will reprint Legacy cards, which does lower the entry bar somehwat
But secondly, and more importantly, More people and stores will now have Legacy cards for sale/Trade. Even if a person only buys say 5 packs of Eternal Masters at you LGS, that now means if you want to get into legacy you now can try to trade for a least a few of the cards. If your LGS hasn't been open for a long time, and doesn't have a real veteran crowd the only way to get cards for legacy decks was to buy them online, which means you can't deck-trade into them, which is one of the main ways people switch formats.
So I certainly think this set will get more people into legacy. Several of my friends are already looking to trade pieces of their standard and modern decks into parts for legacy decks now.

What are the odds of a Reanimate reprint? Dark Ritual? Oversold Cemetery?
May 25, 2016 4:53 p.m.
With Animate Dead in the set it's really unlikely Reanimate is as well, and same goes for Oversold Cemetery. Dark Ritual could go either way.

DrFunk27 to prove your point, ema has already gotten me into legacy since my lgs started a 20 proxy tournament because of ema, allowing me to play legacy without aburs or forces. Without ema, I never would have gotten to play legacy because of the ridiculous price of aburs.
I'm really hoping that the white mythic is sfm. It would make me so happy, but I guess this also means we won't be getting jitte since the final 3 mythics are 2 green and 1 white? Unless they have 16+ mythics, which I wouldn't mind if it meant jitte.
May 25, 2016 6:51 p.m.
ToolmasterOfBrainerd I agree with you because my LGS does the same. They allow a 20 max proxy deck and it's a ton of fun. While I can afford ABURs, I'm not stupid enough to pay $200+ on cardboard. I will have fun with my proxy of them. Better art anyways lol

Why the f*ck is Call the Skybreaker being reprinted? I pity the fool who opens that...
Edit: Also: r/u spellslinger looks really potent if you get the right uncommons (aka: Wee Dragonauts), and not because of that garbage retrace spell.

I love the mirrored flavor text (and art) of Hydroblast and Pyroblast

Vortexflame, I would very much like a reprint of Dark Ritual, as this set is the perfect set for it, as long as it has the Volrath flavor text, since that is my favorite flavor text for that card.

Welp, Worldly Tutor's out.
Nice mythic though. Here's hoping for Berserk.

Anyone else get a kick out of the first green mythic being a non-creature?
May 26, 2016 12:21 a.m.
Ohthenoises says... #23
Phaetion The only tutor at mythic is Vampiric and only because it gets ANY card. The other tutors are at rare.
May 26, 2016 12:23 a.m.
Ohthenoises - It is quite spicy that the first mono-Green mythic we see is a Sorcery. But Maelstrom Wanderer is at least part green, so that's not nothing.
May 26, 2016 12:34 a.m.
"Well that's disappointingly fair."
I agree. I guess it might be useful removal depending on how many 1 toughness creatures are in the set.
May 26, 2016 2:27 a.m.
Looks like we're getting Green Sun's Zenith (at rare). that seems like the spot I would have expected Worldly Tutor to be in (not that I mind). Who knows.., maybe we get both.
May 26, 2016 6:13 a.m.
i need foil tutors, worldly has to be here! Getting foils of the others (inc gamble) would be gutting!

Goblin Trenches reprint? There goes my $0.31 investment Cx
May 26, 2016 8:05 a.m.
Ohthenoises: I was banking on Worldly being a rare anyway.
So what if it doesn't make it? I want that Maelstrom Wanderer...and maybe a box.

and
So... 'Flashback'/'Cast from Grave' sub-theme
I'm thinking Cackling Counterpart as a combo with Dualcaster Mage.
...and Catalyst Stone, just because... well... it's WotC.
Other possible cards, I think there's a chance of for this sub-theme:
Deep Analysis
Flash of Insight
Faithless Looting
Desperate Ravings
Dread Return (also supports the reanimator)
...there's actually a lot they could be doing with this.
May 26, 2016 9:34 a.m.
...Rarity shifted up to Rare.
And using the FTV:Relics image.

Argothian Enchantress at mythic and the uncommon Price of Progress

Really miffed that Argothian Enchantress is wasting a mythic slot. Should be rare.
May 26, 2016 11:04 a.m.
Brainstorm... not a high value... unless you get a foil!
May 26, 2016 11:04 a.m.
CastleSiege says... #43
Brainstorm at uncommon though. Got shifted up from common in Conspiracy.
May 26, 2016 11:08 a.m.
I'm just happy Argothian Enchantress is being reprinted at all! Now I can really build that Enchantress EDH deck!
May 26, 2016 11:09 a.m.
Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but Karmic Guide has been spoiled at Rare!
oh yeah, and Mesa Enchantress too for anyone who cares lol
May 26, 2016 11:10 a.m. Edited.
Argothian Enchantress?! What?! But that's on the Reserved List! Since when did Wizards remove it?
May 26, 2016 11:11 a.m.
It's not on the reserve list.
March 2010 article HERE didn't have it on the list.
May 26, 2016 11:15 a.m.
It is not on the RL.
It has already been reprinted too (as a judge promo), so it cannot be on the RL.
May 26, 2016 11:16 a.m.
@Boza There are a number of cards that have been reprinted but are still on the Reserved List:
