I am totes okay with that, it's a turn faster than Extinguish All Hope , and leaves behind fewer creatures right now. Also can hit just the dragons if need be. My Sultai Control is happy.

Unforgivn_II lol I was brewing esper control this morning... Standard
I think the new wrath is awesome. I already have some Damnation so I'm not hoping for a reprint as much as other. Whites new wrath was 5 CMC so I guess 5 CMC is gonna be the standard from now on. End Hostilities

This "drawback" is surprisingly relevant, as Stormbreath Dragon is a staple in a lot of decks.

It turns out that the card may not actually be mythic rarity, This other picture that I've found is WAY clearer

TheScrawl, if I had to guess, she's Surrak's ancestor. Since we're going back in time and all.

This is actually an awesome card. Now you can put it in a Grixis control deck with Stormbreath Dragon and have a better, more expensive, wrath.

The flavor text is wonderful, and my Grixis control deck could use a wrath effect. I love you, WOTC!!!

So can UB control stop playing Perilous Vault once Fate Reforged drops? I really think that card is awful.

Yasova Dragonclaw is showing Hybrid manain her ability...
Anyone else thinking that if Hybrid mana is going to come into play that Devotion decks may become a bigger thing again?

I'm just thinking on the implications of the flavor text and the choices presented on this card - we've seen "destroy all dragons" (Khans), so...

@subrosian Perilous Vault isn't the best sweeper, but I do think it's pretty strong given our current options.
@Rayenous It could be that the hybrid mana symbols only appears in the text box. Seems like a fairly creative way to showcase the clans before they were fully multicolored.
The black wrath looks solid.

subrosian: Perilous Vault is a solid sweeper. It hits planeswalkers and monstrous Fleecemane Lion . I feel like u/b control in this standard will be much like the Planar Cleansing control from last standard

control is already a thing. It sees decent play in my area. But I suggested to him for more answers and threats, we shall see if he complies. At the moment, it just needs more answers, which should come up in these next few sets~

I've got a Scion of the Ur-Dragon commander deck that would both love and hate this new card.

It's a cool card, maybe actually really relevant in standard, but you also have to look at the flavor text. I'm thinking that Sarkhan is going to try to take out past Nicol bolas (kind of like The Terminator and Sarah Connor), Maybe with the help of Sorin (or hopefully some other planeswalker. I am not a sorin fan. He reminds me of Michael Jackson in a bad way, too cool) and in doing so screw up the future in a lot of ways...

That's nice. It's the closest thing we'll get to a Damnation , and I'm okay with that (because I have one). But this is pretty good. I smell a UB control deck coming in standard.
