Is apparently a thing:
5WWInstantDestroy all Creatures and PlaneswalkersIf it is your turn, Scry 2
Between cards like this, Hero's Downfall , Dreadbore , Fated Flames Spoiled yesterday and all the Exile malarkey it's a bad Standard to be a Planeswalker.
Planar Cleansing is better overall I think but if you're focusing on Standard then it's a good option.
Depends whether Damnation gets its fabled reprint...

Its just too expensive perhaps useful in a control mirror for getting rid of their planeswalkers if you aren't running black or red but still even with instant speed its too expensive. By the time it gets to deal with the things it needs to those have already done their damage. With Supreme Verdict still in standard this card is almost useless imo. Also the fact that control decks mostly rely on either planeswalkers or AEtherling as their win con you're kinda shooting yourself in the foot with this card.

The "if it is your turn" clause of cards like this really turns me away. It's not as good as something like Return to Dust (which is similar in nature). Just rubs me the wrong way.

I think this will be used a lot as 1 or 2-of in UW control decks, I'm especially thinking about the list that uses Elixir of Immortality
and one Elspeth, Sun's Champion
as win-con.
The bad thing about Planar Cleansing
for that list was that it also destroys Detention Sphere
s, which are necessary for handling the early game, and PWs that came down after being tapped out. Also, the potential instant speed on this card totally makes up for its rather big cost.

Hmmm... this doesn't hit Gods or Enchantments.
I'm thinking... U/W Gods deck.
Azorios Charm, Sphinx Rev and Verdict.. and a couple of these.
Use Thassa, God of the Sea , Heliod, God of the Sun , and Ephara, God of the Polis.
Heliod creates creatures on every turn, triggering the card advantage from Ephara... While Scrying every turn to get what you need/want.
Detention Sphere and other powerful enchantments to hit Devotion.
Like a Planeswalkerless "Super Friends" deck.

Rayenous that sort of deck is viable. However, Heliod, God of the Sun has an activation cost a little too high to be utilized for stable card draw. I wouldn't go off an try to build a deck based around Fated Retribution but it might find its way into a good standard shell as a '1 OF'.

Already took a quick look at it... Planeswalkerless Super Friends. - Also testing other possibilities, such as Sphere of Safety and Angelic Accord .
First look, no editing yet, but I'm already thinking that Trading Post is a better option for repeatable creature creation than Heliod.
I'm hoping that Karametra or Phenax will have better synergy. - Karametra may have token creation of a better nature.

The change from "in your mainphase" to "in your turn" basically also deals with Advent of the Wurm , or bigger flash creatures. Basically if they have 4-5 mana open to produce a wurm-token or whatever on your endstep, you can afterwards still cast this and get the benefits of the scry 2 and circumvent something like Rootborn Defenses (since they're likely tapped out afterwards).
Unfortunately there's always the Mistcutter Hydra that you also have to pay attention for.

I think that Trading Post is a better card than Heliod, God of the Sun for your idea Rayenous but it doesn't contribute to devotion. Maybe look into running this deck with some Bestow creatures. You can pop off the Fated Retribution on their turn any Bestowed Auras you have are out of the blast of the spell and come into play as creatures triggering Ephara.
I would like to talk to you more about this build off of this channel Rayenous

An Instant creature and planeswalker board wipe. This is going straight to the top of the list of most expensive cards in BOTG. Although it isn't amazing, it costs 7 as a converted mana cost, so its not completely amazing. I reccomend this for any Selesnya Aggro
