Gavin Verhey Confirms No Signature Spellbook in 2021

In this Twitter post, Gavin Verhey confirmed that there shall not be a Signature Spellbook product in 2021, which is very disappointing, because I am fond of that series; WotC has discontinued Duel Decks, Premium Decks, and From the Vault, so I appreciated this new series as a great way for reprinting desirable cards with new artwork and frames. I am further worried, because there shall be no core set, this year, either.

However, I do take comfort in the fact that Verhey did not explicitly state that the SS series had been discontinued, and even mentioned "the next one," so I shall remain hopeful for another Signature Spellbook in 2022.

What does everyone else say about this? What are your thoughts about there being no Signature Spellbook in 2021?

Commander Collection is replacing the Spellbook series so i wouldn't hold my breath on a new SS within the next few years, at least not until they've done a CC for each color as well potentially colorless.

And CC Selesnya, CC Sultai, CC Dune-Brood, CC 5C...

It's 's turn to receive one. After SS Jace, SS Gideon, SS chandra and CC Green, I fully expect the next "8 commander cards with a theme"-product is mono black.

DarkMagician, why do you say that? Is Commander Collection more popular than is Signature Spellbook?
