Hello, guys and gals! I'm looking for your opinions on the spoiled cards in the new Kaladesh block. I feel pretty pumped about the new set and the waves R/U decks will be making in the very near future. Thanks, and best of luck in all your Magic exploits! (even though exploit rotated out months ago)

They hit it out of the ballpark with this set. That said, as a player, they didn't have much offerings for me. Though, the quality of said offerings were home runs.

I think the set will be awesome to draft. Lots of interesting archetypes and build-around cards. And of course with Masterpieces floating around I will want to draft all the more. I love all the crazy artifacts they are printing, like the modules, Aetherflux Reservoir, and Panharmonicon. I especially like the direction they are taking red, moving away from just direct damage to explore red's other options. Cards like Combustible Gearhulk, Madcap Experiment, Start Your Engines, Creative Spark, and of course Chandra, Torch of Defiance are just , well, fun. I don't grind PTQs, or have Pro Tour aspirations. I just want to have some fun, and this set looks like it will be tons of fun to play with.

I like the set. The cards feel fresh and inspired, and the lore is at least somewhat interesting.

I wasnt a huge fan of the set I think a lot of the cards are just kind of bad or not really pushed enough besides chandra but thats just me. Some of the art is nice though

This is going to be a singles set for me. While there are a few cards I would like for EDH or casual decks, I am not interested in the vehicle or energy mechanics. The masterpiece cards are not enough to bait me into buying a booster box.

90 cards left and still no maindeck-worthy counterspells...

I thought the set was reasonable until I saw the spoiler for Eddytrail Hawk. A strictly better Storm Crow is not good for the health of Standard.

Overall power level of the set is higher than we've seen since RtR. While I won't be coming back to Standard, this has a lot of stuff that gets me excited for Limited.

I'm not sure how many Eternal and Modern staples there will be. I know EDH players are excited. There's definitely going to be something interesting to come out of the set that will shake up older formats the way Tasigur, the Golden Fang and Abrupt Decay did, but certainly nothing like Treasure Cruise or Deathrite Shaman.

I think I'm most excited that Modern Affinity will finally get something to boost it to a closer first-place finish at a high-level event. Too often the deck makes top 8, then gets hated out post-sideboard.

I know I'm looking for new things to play in Shops variants in Legacy/Vintage. Eldrazi have pushed artifacts off to the side. I want to start using Metalworkers again.
