This card:

enter image description here

Is about to cause a lot of judge calls, since people don't understand how priority and active/non-active situations work.

-sigh- This will be annoying next weekend.

That's what the judges are there for, though, and any situation that results in players having a greater knowledge of the game and how it works is never a bad thing.

So I guess I'm trying to say... Why is this a problem?

I guess I don't see the confusion of priority. the text of each player reveals their card at the same time should aliviate most but the most obtuse of shenanigans. I do see people not undstanding what exactly a "card type" is, but as people said before, that's what judges are for!

Let us give one Huzzah for judges!

HUZZAH! :D

It's because people won't follow the rules that the card clearly emphasizes that both players move at once. Somebody will do it first not thinking and just ughhh...

I hope this card doesn't see Standard play.

Our Midnight Prerelease pulls out a lot of more casual players from all around the area. Players I never see otherwise.

I think it's a cool design to help combat the control decks for standard, and if you can get your opponent down to just a couple cards in hand and you're ahead already it will probably win you the game.

I think most experienced players will make sure that newer players understand how the cards works with simultaneous flipping. Otherwise, yes, judges are there for a reason.

The simple way to explain this to your opponent is you both discard a card facedown. Then, when both of you have discarded a card, flip them face up. That way, neither player can change their card

Very strong idea Denial048. I like it. I'll be sure to suggest that to our players at the Pre-Release.

That is some seriously awesome artwork, and I really hope that WotC provides it as a wallpaper on their website. The name of that card is only several letters different from "creeping death," so it is possible that there may eventually be a card with that name, or will WotC not wish to use the name of a Metallica song for a card?

Honestly, I think the card that is going to garner the most judge calls is Prized Amalgam when people misunderstand how Madness works.

@Named_Tawyny, you are probably right, but that is why they have printed reminder text on most Madness cards. Just the Wind for reference.
