Goblins making a comeback?

We've seen somewhat of a buildup to goblins up until this point. Now we're waiting on Battle For Zendikar. Looking at the past, Zendikar was a huge leap for goblins with Goblin Bushwhacker, Goblin Guide, and Warren Instigator which are absolutely some of the best goblins there are. I tend to think goblins may become a viable standard deck especially with the recent Goblin Piledriver reprint. Any thoughts on this?

I would love to see goblins make a comeback, along with a few decent elves, to make both tribal decks viable in standard. Hell, even in modern, which is not a format I play often (I have a semi-decent goblin tribal, and a form of Naya zoo). Goblins could be played as they are, but it relies on too make token creatures, I think, to be tier 1. It is borderline tier 2 at best right now, even with the addition of Goblin Piledriver.

Unfortunately for Standard, even if we get a bunch of awesome Goblins in BFZ, we lose Goblin Rabblemaster, Foundry Street Denizen, and Frenzied Goblin to rotation.

In standard goblins will probably come back, its one of the better tribals and even if not a top deck, could certainly do well. Goblins is not tier 1 modern, or even really tier 2, this will not change any time soon, the deck will always be slower than affinity, and too weak to Pyroclasm unless Goblin Lackey comes to modern.

DarkHero In Standard? Gee... Goblins really haven't been a thing for a while. RDW usually has run some goblins, but never really because of synergies or anything.

Id like to see to see r/b goblins make it into standard. Who knows what new cards might show up in BFZ.
