Some more card draw for black, not bad. Awesome morph cost.

Don't really see why one would play this as morph though... unless we intend to simply "surprise" our opponents (which trick probably works only the first game if we don't play other morph cards)

So a smaller Harvester of Souls without deathtouch and for cheap? If he were a zombie, I'd auto-buy 4 to go in my Gravecrawler deck. As he is, I'd auto-buy 4 to go in my Gravecrawler deck.

I think the morph is a bluffing thing. If they think it's this guy underneath, they might (might) hold off on their board wipe. And if they do wipe and it is him, you've probably netted 3-4 cards for just B on the spot (yes, it was 3 earlier too, but the cost is distributed which helps).

Getting that first game win because of a surprise that won't work twice is not a real knock against it. Get those wins when you can, and in game two play it as if you can't morph it and swing in I suppose. I was actually wondering if this could be a good fit in the mon-black aggro list. Potential card draw attached to a body instead of a spell a la Sign in Blood could be good for the deck.

Of course the dream is to slam this in a deck that wants to be sacking things for value. Can't think of anything off the top of my head that isn't rotating out or isn't bad... I'm looking at you Tymaret, the Murder King . Quit trying to ensnare me into thinking you can work!

StuntmanTheThird I think this guy was build to work in pair with Bloodsoaked Champion (see http://mythicspoiler.com/ktk/cards/bloodsoakedwarrior.html). Lucky they are both rare, otherwise they would be a nightmare in limited.

Yeah, I had thought about that as well for the aggro as well.

Then I remembered Pain Seer is already the major card draw in the mono-black aggro... and I felt dumb, ha. But hey, more card draw in the deck may not be bad at all.

Still... Tymaret whispers to me...

brb, brewing...

So... when I see this card, I can't help but think of Heartless Summoning ...

2/1 body for ...
CMC (now free) creatures like Perilous Myr now get a cantrip.

I know there are already ways of doing this, but not for just

I like that this is 3/2 and not another 2/3.

Some good synergy with Pain Seer and Master of the Feast

I'm really liking this.

I like it a lot. Game 1, morph in response to board-wipe, giggle maniacally. Game 2, watch as they sweat anytime they have a wipe in hand, and you have a morphed creature. =)

All I see is another Mikaeus, the Unhallowed edh value train. Sadly human, so can't be undying itself. Also fun with Viscera Seer .
