so....
this is a sliver Sinew Sliver
this is an abomination Predatory Sliver
and the real ones are back in M15 so let's all take a moment and fan girl eek
feel better now? me too.
Also I find it hilarious on the mothership's article they mention "There was a group of players who didn't like the change". namely being anyone who had ever played magic ever.

I agree with adapting over time but you cannot ditch iconic art, elves without pointy ears, goblings without small beady eyes and giant noses.
Plus Slivers are something truly unique to magic, an original creation and then they turn their back on it.

Well, I mean Slivers have existed across time, and their appearance didn't change when hopping across Rath to Dominaria, dying out, being brought back to life, and surviving the time streams.

Do you think that with the release of Sliver Hive slivers will become actually playable?

I have seen slivers tear up some local tourneys, with Mana Confluence and Sliver Hive, Five color slivers is a real possibility. I can see it try to be made. Personally I am excited for slivers in modern and legacy

I hope they're not reprints... new slivers with E t b effects would be sweet.

Unless we get an indestructible sliver for 4 mana, we wont see much sliver decks going around.

Seriously? People complaining about the Sliver redesign? That was last year. "Oh, boy! We get more Slivers! But they look kinda off... Let's dwell on that instead of actually playing them."

I was caught in two minds regarding the change in the Slivers' ability. On the one hand, it means that the sliver mirror doesn't become some stupid mosh pit of 12/12 flying, vigilance, trample, haste, first strike, lifelink creatures, but on the other hand, it takes away what made Slivers unique from other tribes.

I thought the article said the m14 slivers were coming back with a few new friends.

I merged the Kird Ape and sliver sections together in my mind. Says 5 uncommons that some are playable outside of tribal. Also a mythic Lord.

Well, we don't know that for certain yet; there haven't been any actual sliver cards spoiled yet. The land is only half-way indicative.
Personally, I thought the change wasn't too bad, it was cool to see how the slivers adapted to different surroundings, ya know, like they're supposed to.
