So today, MaRo's article on the mothership talked about things that people asked for including, planes to return to, mechanics to return, a legendary 4 colour cycle etc. He finishes the article by saying that a lot of the stuff he mentions is part of the current seven-year plan. What does everyone think will and won't come back from what he said? I definitely think that some of the new planes we explore will be ones that he mentioned (including Muraganda, A pirate plane, Vyrn) but what is everyone else's thoughts? Link to the article

Infect and Phyrexian definitely' gonna come back; Maybe some sort of all out war on Ravnica; new planes around some of those other topics (Egyptian, prehistoric); Theros is bound to return with Elspeth somehow coming back to life; Vryn, Kaladesh and Muraganda are a MUST to continue the story itself and tie up loose ends (Jace's memory, strange God named Heliud on Kaladesh hinting at planeswalker Heliod).

Hmm Egyptian magic... I don't know how I feel about that, AND IT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS WHY... Right?

I would LOVE to see a plane that has advanced into the future.

What do you mean by advanced into the future? As in modern technology/sci-fi? Because MaRo has said before that they are trying to stay away from that sort of thing. Unless of course, you mean something else, in which case I am all ears

I'm not sure how to quantify it. Just a plane that is over the top. Kinda like Chandra's home but a little more... idk...

If MagicalHacker is referring to the Egyptian god of magic, Isis, and how the name ISIS has been taken up by the Islamic State, that isn't an issue at all. not only are they totally different, but the gods won't have the same names, or maybe I'm reading too much into why it's "OBVIOUS... Right?"

Mortem: yes, I fully agree with you; a Norse-themed block has been tied with Eternal Masters as my most-desired M:tG product for years, and, now that one of those products shall soon be a reality, I am hoping for the other one to be, as well.
I also am very glad that Rosewater mentioned full cycles for the Future Sight lands and returns to both Kamigawa and Dominaria, since all of those are elements that I desire, as well.
I am very glad that the staff of WotC are, indeed, paying attention to what the players are saying; hopefully, we may soon see some of those wishes be granted!

I think the whole article was made to let us know that Storm Crow is getting a reprint... some time in their 7-year plan.

Is there any more speculation to make or discussion to hold on this subject, or not until WotC reveals more information about upcoming products?

Want to see the buddy lands reprinted from innistrad.

Vryn is a guarantee since WotC has such a massive stiffy for Jace (he's no Venser or Teferi imo).
MaRo has stated emphatically that he hates the concept of 4 color cards. If they print any more 4 color cards in the future, i highly doubt it will be in a standard set release. Maybe in a Conspiracy set or something.
I'm just holding out for a revisit to Dominaria. It needs to happen.
