This card makes me drool. It's almost always going to either result in drawing in a removal spell or a 2/more-for 1/ So excite.

Ohthenoises: Thank the heavens! I was in desperate need of memes in this post and I knew there'd only be one true bringer of them!

I think trentfaris242 hit the nail on the head with the description. The way I see it is this card becomes a bit of a siphon for the opponent's resources to allow for a late game kill via stronger creatures (Polukranos, World Eater , Hornet Queen , etc). If they REALLY cannot answer the card because their only removal is by fighting or by burn, then they simply cannot get through without massively limiting their own source of fuel. I mean, hell, this card with Hornet Queen will probably make Drown in Sorrow a constantly-played removal spell.

Rayenous says... #29

With this and Wall of Mulch , I'm thinking of revisiting my Defender deck... G/W... possibly Bant.

Until RtR rotates Axebane Guardian is still a thing.
Wall of Mulch + Gift of Immortality could be crazy card advantage.
This + Gift of Immortality = a blocker they never want to attack into.
Sylvan Caryatid is just good.
Possibly Doorkeeper for an alternate win-con.
Colossus of Akros for a win-con.
