mythicspoiler.com and magicspoiler.com both have Illusory Angel as being in M15.
There's a number of ways I can see this being a 4/4 Flying on T2 in Standard...
T1: Forest
, Elvish Mystic
T2: Island
, Ornithopter
(also recently spoiled), Illusory Angel
or (for mono-U)
T1: Island
, Springleaf Drum
T2: Island
, Ornithopter
, Illusory Angel
.

I'd rather use Burning-Tree Emissary .
T1: Breeding Pool , Elvish Mystic .T2: Forest , Burning-Tree Emissary , Illusory Angel .
Turn two 2/2 and 4/4 angel is pretty good.

If Talara's Battalion was never played in constructed, what makes you think this will?
It's okay, but I don't see it going into any tier-1 deck unless Standard sees some big changes.

With what we know of M15/Kahns so far (lots still to come though), I can't see it being in Tier 1 decks... but I fully expect to see it regularly at FNM. - A number of players at my LGS live for finding/playing this type of thing.
I actually expect to see them using it in Modern with Noble Hierarch , Manamorphose , and Gitaxian Probe ... in an attempt to get a budget creature that might occasionally out-race a Tarmogoyf

Read what you posted.
If you're playing Gitaxian Probe and Manamorphose , Tarmogoyf is already a 2/3 before anybody cracks a fetch-land or casts Inquisition.

I'd rather more inclined to run Ornithopter with Shrapnel Blast . Can block your Elvish Mystic and obliterate your Polukranos, World Eater . (providing you can't beef him up :) )

@ zandl ...no need to cast both... it would still only be a 1/2. - Like it would matter... decks running Goyf will typically make it a 3/4 or 4/5 in short order. A second instant and/or sorcery in a grave won't make it any larger.
Besides... even as a 2/3 you have a 4/4 that becomes a 5/5 when it attacks, and it flies.
Note also... "budget" and "might occasionally". (If you're going to make a statement like "read what you posted", you may want to read it first.)

I was just pointing out that you said you wanted to outrace a Goyf by dumping different card types into your graveyard.

I hate how this card is just completely and utterly dead in the late game.

She's a badass limited play card--especially at uncommon rarity. I can easily see Azorius draft or sealed decks playing her in the secondary main phase after casting a cheap buff-instant in combat.
Standard? Heck no. It's a body with no abilities. A Prophet of Kruphix deck might do something clever with her, but otherwise I think I'll pass.

This is kind of what I was thinking for Modern.

In my opinion, this card will never see play in Standard, let alone Modern. It's just not that good. Having to cast one other spell before you cast her doesn't sound like much, but it becomes very problematic very quickly and, as has been pointed out, topdecking her is awful in the late game.

You need to ask how many decks want to waste slots running Ornithopter purely to enable Illusory Angel .
