Is Fblthp, the Lost and Proteus Staff a viable combo for cEDH?

So, with Fblthp, the Lost as your commander, no other creatures in your deck, and a lot of artifact tutors to search for Proteus Staff , one activation would put Fblthp on the bottom of your library, then cheat him back out for two cards. BUT, before the draw, if I understand correctly, you would be allowed to order your deck IN ANY ORDER YOU WANT because of the wording on Proteus Staff . I'm not really a cEDH player, but I feel like this could be really strong. You basically tutor two cards, every turn for . With mana rocks and Paradox Engine , this could just make a frightening deck, what do you think?

Boza this in turn shuts down Lab-man lines, the easiest way to win.
I think an Engine line would be the best.
Probably Frantic Search or Gush into some amount of fast mana into engine into some cantrip like Gitaxian Probe , to untap the fast mana and staff, reuse staff, get a Voltaic Key and Sensei's Divining Top to draw your deck and get inf. mana. IDK, maybe Walking Ballista for the win. Or USZ the opponents out.

With the new Jace. Wielder of Mysteries which has the same ability as lab-man, it is possible still.

Boza, yeah, but fast mana is usually colorless, and the best lines generally only make so much blue. triple blue makes it better to just go inf in other ways.

Well High Tide and Isochron Scepter are a thing, also like you could add in a few more things to make it work like also maybe some things that make lands into artifacts/indestructible could help untap them and keep them going.

One thing to note: When Fblthp, the Lost becomes targeted by Proteus Staff its trigger to be shuffled into the library will resolve first, thus will not be placed on the bottom of your library. You will still resolve the staff's ability to reveal cards until you reveal a creature, and if Fblthp is that creature you will get the two cards, but you will not be able to reorder your entire library as it has been suggested. Only those cards revealed by that staff's ability will be reordered and placed on the bottom of your library.

"When Fblthp becomes the target of a spell, shuffle Fblthp into its owner's library."
Note he's lacking "or ability" in that text; targeting him with Proteus Staff won't make Fblthp shuffle back in.

drpeppercan that is incorrect, Fblthp, the Lost only reshuffles when it is targeted by a spell, not abilities.

Although you could use a better commander and just put him in the 99

Well, the problem with using a different commander is that you have to tutor both pieces, or use tokens and activate Proteus Staff twice. Both slow the combo down significantly.

Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal with a bunch of mana rocks (including at least one that makes a blue mana) lets you draw and cast your entire deck. With the new Jace, as mentioned above, you now win the game.

Yes, this is a completely viable combo, but you have to make a deck in monoblue and 0 other creatures.
