Is prowess here to stay?

Remember when prowess came out in KTK, with Monastery Swiftspear and Seeker of the Way, FRF with Monastery Mentor, then it continued to show up with Abbot of Keral Keep and Stormchaser Mage? So, do you expect prowess to keep going on as a keyword for many future sets, because it seems it is going to?

Yes, Maro confirmed it was an evergreen keyword.

Like, during Magic Origins.

You're a bit late to the party.

This question has been getting to me since the release of OGW and I saw Stormchaser Mage spoiled. Thanks for the answer, TheFoilAjani!

Does anyone think that WotC made prowess evergreen far too soon after its introduction? Usually, WotC waits for some time to make a keyword evergreen, rather than doing so almost immediately, as they did, in this case.

Not really. I think it fits into the game quite well and deserves to stick around. There wasn't much reason to delay making it evergreen, especially with other things on the way out.

Why did they only take Prowess, Delve is strong?

Delve is definitely too strong to be evergreen. Also, blue creatures kind of needed a new keyword, so they got it.

I still wish for kicker and cycling to become evergreen, since those mechanics can fit in any block on any plane.
