So I'm wondering since the izzet scry land was the last of the block will the izzet special land be the first of the Huey block?

This has nothing to do with Economics. Moved to SRS.

Erm, it has a name. I'm pretty sure we can all call it "Khans block" now.

As for lands, no idea. Probably. But we'll have to wait to see if they're any good. If the temples are any indication, whatever they are will probably see standard play. So long as Wizards prints them at rare of course

It's also quite possible that we won't see any Izzet lands in Khans. Until recently, blocks typically only included either enemy or allied duals. RTR was an exception because it brought back shocks, which exist for all color pairs. THS was an exception because it also emphasized all color pairs through the Gods. ISD had enemy lands that complemented the core set check lands, but that isn't a guarantee we'll see enemy duals again in Khans.

Very true. I thought "The last 4 blocks had rare duals", without remembering that Zen and SoM didn't have full sets. Although I remember Maro saying that they wouldn't print only allied or enemy lands any more; rather, they will print all ten. Of course, that doesn't mean anything about reprints. But I do believe that if it is a new dual land, then there should be all 10

Oh I see, what are the chances that the duels if any would be split by stes? Does that always happen too? Sorry I'm a huge nooby at this

@rufio1406 They are called DUAL lands, not DUEL lands.

I challenge you to a duel land, sir.

@Epochalyptik I don't have an actual link to the other thread or the article in that thread, but I remember seeing someone else posting an article from wizards about how they don't want to do anymore sets where they only introduce half of the land cycle. The topic came up during a discussion about M15 spoilers, but the point of it was to point out that there may not be dual lands in M15 because of the required slots the cycle of 10 lands would take up in the set. So if there are dual lands in the Khans block then we're basically guaranteed that it will be a cycle of all 10 and not just allied or enemy colored lands.

Taken from a MaRo compilation article:

"Back in the day, we always made ally dual lands easier to acquire than enemy ones. The thought process was that ally colors should be easier to play as it matched the flavor of the color pie. As time has marched on, we realized something important. Restricting enemy dual lands just meant it was harder to play enemy colors and that it limited what players were able to play.

That was making the game less fun and for what trade-off? To slightly further the flavor of allies and enemies. We decided it wasn't worth it and now are more conscious to try and get all ten color pair dual lands. This was just my lengthy way of saying that development wanted the block to have all ten scry lands."

If we keep getting dual lands, we will get all 10 of them. For now, at least. It will not be uncommon for those lands to be split up amongst the sets in a block in order to save design space for rares. How they choose to split them up is up to the design team.
