I would link the pictures, but I'll just leave this here
GoldGhost012 - Well, I AM doing this on a computer. I have an unfair advantage. :)

Yeah, I was freaking out over it's low cost as well. It's great when you've flooded the board.

I'm really excited for Mana Confluence. It's even better than City of Brass ! Your opponents can't tap it to deal damage to you :P This is going to make playing tri-coloured decks much easier to play in standard.

Worst fears 7B
You control target player during his or her next turn; exile worst fears
April 11, 2014 12:26 a.m.
Mana Confluence os the next expensive staple land in EDH. Modern not so much since you can't search for it.
Ive decided I'm just getting a box of this. There's no way you won't get SOME kind of value out of it. The gods rock so far. Ajani is sweet but that land alone will be be a major money card. ESPECIALLY come rotation when we lose shock lands as there is no qualfier. It enters untapped and can produce whatever mana you need for the low low price of one life.

Just gonna add on to what Lordofevolution said:
It's a mythic sorcery with flavor text Elspeth feared that her trespass into Nyx would not go unanswered.

Agreed Bellock86. Screw RTR, I'm getting a box of this awesomeness!

Thanks GoldGhost012 I was worried someone was gonna ninja me again so I was hurrying

Using Logic, we know that there are 10 mythics in small sets, and usually 2 mythics per color. Now the minor gods take up one slot of each color and we have seen the white (Godsend ), blue(Sage of Hours ), black (Worst Fears), and green (Ajani, Mentor of Heroes ) mythics. That means we're missing the mono-red mythic, along with Pharika and Athreos. I'm getting psyched though. I wonder what it could be...

GoldGhost012 says... #13
JWiley129, pfff, logic is overrated. Obviously Wizards has answered my prayers and is making this a mostly rare and mythic set!
/terrible joke, time to sleep

GoldGhost012 - Sure. And when you wake up, the Magic faerie will leave a Black Lotus under your pillow for being a good Magic player. :)

Guys... we have a Centaur lord!
But it's in French (I think), so I think it's a translation, especially since MTGSalvation doesn't seem to have it on their site.
And a Zombie token enabler.
April 11, 2014 9:56 a.m.
That's actually a fairly decent uncommon. Especially in limited. Mythicspoiler.com has the centaur lord up.

I want 'ritual of the returned' to be standard good, but can't see it as anything more than semi-fun casual card. I mean, even best case is something like: throw vanilla 7/7 in the gy you never intended to cast, bring in a 7/7 zombie on turn 4, opponent has no way to get it off the board, smash with zombie. That's a lot that needs to go right, or so it seems. Maybe I'm missing something, but even the 'dredge' decks that has been lurking around standard currently run on keeping creatures in the yard, not using the yard for reanimate tricks.
I try so hard to resist the "I would love this card if..." but I can't help it this time. If this card just switched "your" to "a" I think I'd be more excited.

Oh my god I'm making centaur tribal. I already use a ton of centaurs and this makes them even better. Hellooo Swordwise Centaur , Courser of Kruphix , Nylea's Disciple and more!
April 11, 2014 2:01 p.m.
Lol @ Spootyone ~ I love that centaur tribal can now be a thing. Lol
April 11, 2014 3:25 p.m.
CastleSiege: I have to disagree with you on thinking the new land is better than city of brass. There are cards that make it so you can't pay life, then you can't even use it.
April 11, 2014 6:05 p.m.
City of Brass and Mana Confluence are different cards. They have different abilities. So I think people need to stop trying to rank them. The fact of the matter is that they are BOTH good and the fact that we will have one in standard is really nice.

I think either Pharika or Atheros will be the best God in the set. The other will be janky. Hope the red mythic is a awesome burn spell that can go to the face or creature with flying/haste.

I stayed up until 1 in the morning waiting for spoilers that never came. Well, here they are now.
Wow. Athreos looks amazing, especially as a 3-drop.
And a couple M15 spoilers, one of which looks like another card designed by a fan, according to the flavor text.
The Zombie looks a little weird I think because it was spoiled from the new Duels of the Planeswalkers game.
April 12, 2014 2:18 p.m.
Athreos looks amazing. I love the crappy choice it puts the opponents in. Also makes removal a littlenless appealing when it comes with a "pay 3 life" clause.

I CANT KEEP UP!
7/7 Hydra for 6 seems nice, especially with the token making ability.
Another Gold giver! Gasp- it's King Midas!!! Removal plus excess mana!!
Lastly, a good way to steal a game finisher. Imagine copying a Giant Adephage and dealing damage.
April 12, 2014 2:40 p.m.
Polymorphous rush + Biovisionary = funny janky wincon

O.O That Athreos... I think WB sac of some sort will rise.
Also, I'm loving Genesis Hydra... Hydra for 6 or 7, cast any of the cards you flip.

Prophetic Flamespeaker
1RR
Creature- Human Shaman
Mythic Rare
Double strike, trample
Whenever Prophetic Flamespeaker deals combat damage to a player, exile the top card of your library. You may play it this turn.
Fire to destroy. Fire to create.

Master of the Feast

Enchantment Creature- Demon

At the beginning of your upkeep, each opponent draws a card.
Any pleasure, when taken to excess, becomes torment. It's a formula that demons have perfected.

Well this will be interesting. Might have some synergy with Spirit of the Labyrinth against certain decks.

Pharika has been released and I was expecting more
April 14, 2014 12:16 a.m.
Master of the feast and Desecration Demon are going to be deadly together. Heck even Herald of Torment could get tossed in with them for some demon action.
April 14, 2014 12:20 a.m.
GoldGhost012 says... #37
Hey, she's another 3 drop. They can't make her ability too good, especially since she wrecks graveyard decks like DRS and gives Snakes with deathtouch.
April 14, 2014 12:21 a.m.
GoldGhost012 says... #38
Oh crap, the owner gets the Snake. Well that's significantly worse.
April 14, 2014 12:22 a.m.
She could've been so much more. And I would've liked her better as a 4-drop.
April 14, 2014 12:23 a.m.
Wow, Pharika sucks. She basically competes with Scavenging Ooze , Deathrite Shaman , and the scavenge ability. They couldn't have come up with something better? I guess all Golgari will ever get is "exile a card from your graveyard for some random benefit".
April 14, 2014 12:23 a.m.
As a side note, prophetic flamespeaker is pretty disappointing.

Twinflame
1R
Sorcery
Rare
Strive- Twinflame costs 2R more for each target beyond the first.
Choose any number of target creatures you control. For each of them, put a token that's a copy of that creature onto the battlefield. Those tokens have haste. Exile them at the beginning of the next end step.
April 14, 2014 12:26 a.m.
I think I speak for almost everyone when I say I would much rather have a 4 or 5 drop god with a great ability then a 3 drop with a mediocre ability.
April 14, 2014 12:26 a.m.
CastleSiege says... #44
Pharika could actually be decent against aggro decks. Scenario: your opponent swings for the win. Pump her ability to put out deathtouch blockers.
April 14, 2014 12:27 a.m.
Dalektable says... #45
She's aiight. At the cards core, Pharika is a 5/5 indestructible creature for three mana with an ability stuck on to her. Is she great? No but she is far from terrible.
April 14, 2014 12:31 a.m.
Ultimaodin says... #48
How can anybody say Prophetic Flamespeaker sucks? He's a fucking bomb. Madcap skills him and you just laugh maniacally. He gives mass card advantage to red and has both double strike and freaking trample.
April 14, 2014 12:48 a.m.
I think people need to think a little more with Pharika. She's a 3-drop in green. That means you get to do this:
T1: Elvish Mystic
T2: Pharika
T3: Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord , swing with a 5/5 indestructible for what will probably be the rest of the game with Jarad as backup. That seems pretty damn good to me.
April 14, 2014 12:50 a.m.
CastleSiege the only thing about Spirit of the Labyrinth and the new demon is that spirit wouldn't stop the draw as it is one card per turn.

You and your picture(s) JWiley129... You make me jealous.
Anyway, here's a link to the cards and their pictures if anyone's interested.
