I know this is weird but its hard for me to let go of the orginial sylvan scryings in my tron deck. I would love to play with this but theres something about the art on the original ones that make me want to play it. Also I dont get the like....sticks? on the pad what are those?

It reminds me of the pattern on Oath of Nissa. It has her flavor text so there may be a link.

It's a part of Nissa's symbol.

Look at Oath of Nissa and Zendikar Resurgent.

I like the new fnm promos, but the art on some of them isn't too great... For example all attending the invitational ptqs get a foil promo Snapcaster Mage but the art is frankly terrible. They could have done soooooo much better.
