Just a Thought

So I've been thinking about what the other sets in KTK will be like since only the first set is wedge stuff and the thought occurred to me that what if the saving of Ugin caused the present day clans to become shard colored instead?
There is one: Mycosynth Lattice .
I think it would be odd for the clans to go Shard colored. How would that work in standard? Mark Rosewater did say he wanted the last set to be "a stand alone set", since 2 out of the 3 sets in Tarkir will rotate when we go into the new system.
It could be possible for the time travel events to affect the clans, but a wedge set AND a shard set in the same block would be weird.

Anything that's already on the battlefield will do too.

Well I know it's far fetched it's just the drafting structue makes me think it could be wedge centered, then colorless centered (or maybe just a cluster-fuck of stuff), and finally shard centered so that the center could draft with either one but 1 and 3 couldn't go together. My other "argument" for it would be that shard and ally stuff is considered "normal" and that the saving of Ugin would somehow help keep the dragons intact and correct the natural order of things
Either way it's just something I thought would be interesting

What do you mean by a GOOD counter.
Play Oblivion Ring then. Get around Emrakul's protection. If you're looking for "Counter target card text" then you're out of luck.

Gienah: Oblivion Ring doesn't get around protection.

Emrakul says "protection from colored spells". O-ring is a triggered ability from a permanent.

Gorgosaurusrex: Since the O-Ring's target isn't chosen until after it enters the battlefield, it's now a permanent and no longer a spell and therefore CAN target Emrakul.

I'm thinking we're gonna have a lot of colorless goodies in the second/third sets. I'm personally hoping for a good counter to Emrakul, the Aeons Torn 's protection.
