Seems a little good...especially with the Chain Veil...

Well of course, but why not?
This may not be too powerful with The Chain Veil either if you can only reuse an ability once each turn.

Aye I'm going to try and make him into a commander seems very fun and different to most other artifact decks.

Groovy ability. Would love to see his butt as a 4, though.

Time Vault = unlimited turns.
Probably a bit slow for Vintage play though...

Not being able to use mana abilities on artifacts really brings the down the value and its overall usefulness. Unless the new set (khans) brings in some artifacts that tap or trigger in combat phase; something to allow him to have more playability in a artifact themed deck. But for now all he does is kinda sit their as a thought in maybe a grixis mill with Grindclock . If anyone sees something im missing, call it out I am interested in how I could get him to work in standard

How do you figure, Nucle4r? The vast majority of Artifact abilities aren't mana abilities (although it would be awesome if you could double a Black Lotus I suppose). It pretty much lets you take your artifact effect and double it. Two hasty creatures with Whip of Erebos ? Yes please.

Those are mana abilities (except for black lotus) you are paying mana to start the process of the whip, which kurkesh doesn't allow in his own ability.

Unless the tap effect nullifies the mana part of the equation than this would be better than I had originally thought.

You're misunderstanding the term 'mana abilities' Mana abilities aren't abilities that cost mana - they're abilities that PRODUCE mana.
Sol Ring (or Black Lotus ) are examples of artifacts whose activated abilities are mana abilities (and thus not applicable to Kurkesh's ability.). Whip of Erebos , Strionic Resonator , or Perilous Vault (not that I could imagine the point of copying that last one) are all artifacts that COST mana to use their abilities, but they aren't 'mana abilities'. Kurkesh could double any of them.

NUCLE4R a mana ability is like the one on Fire Diamond .
Not an ability that requires mana to activate.

Thank you for that. Still a bit new to the terms in magic.

It's a more conditional but more useful Strionic Resonator . Wow.
