I know it doesn't destroy the creatures, but they still can't be regenerated and gets around Protection (Etched Champion) and Indestructible.
Thoughts?

Hmm, thanks ChiefBell. I didn't realize that there were more threads for this. To counter, it does get around 'goyf in a few situations, and if they block a 1/1 then they still die to it after combat. Though, you're right. It won't replace Damnation ever. Just a new budget choice I guess.

Yeah, I was literally about to post the same thing as Chief. Its not close to Damnation. Goyf, Taz, Prime Time and Rhino are probably the biggest creatures on the block currently, and this doesn't hit any of them.

I personally think of it like a damnation that doesn't kill your rhinos tasigurs and goyfs. Play them in the same deck as languish, and it's a virtual plague winds. Bad in the abzan mirror though

And against Delver.
And you don't want it mainboard because it's dead against Tron and Twin.

Hey!
If you use the search bar in the top right and search 'languish' you can see that multiple threads have already been posted on this very topic!
However, to add to this current one - no it's not a new damnation. It fails to hit some of the biggest cards in modern such as Tarmogoyf, Tasigur, the Golden Fang, Siege Rhino, Gurmag Angler, Primeval Titan, Sigarda, Host of Herons, and to a lesser extent Wurmcoil Engine (though damnation does a bad job of wurmcoil).
Tarmogoyf is notable among them, as is Taz and the angler.
Languish will never be the new damnation unless you want to save money.
