Personaly, i think nissa is way too slow.

Jaces -3 is amazing, the rest is bad.

Chandra seems really good in burn decks, but nothing else.

Thoughts?

I think they're cool. Each of them has useable abilities when they're creatures (Nissa isn't great admittedly), and then they're planeswalkers too. Put together, there's a lot of interesting things that can be done with them. People expect every rare to be a super efficient game winner. Use your imaginations! I bet one of the pros figures out how to bust either Jace or Chandra. Yep, Chandra. She has the potential for a lot of damage. We'll see.

Nissa is going to make an awesome tiny leader.... using the wide assortment of spells which fetch land, she's often going to be a PW on T4-5.

There really isn't that big of a reason to have 5+ lands in tiny leaders most of the time. You're dedicating a lot of effort to ramping. The format is very fast. Decks could kill you by the time you flip her.

I think Jace could see standard play. He's easy to flip and can give flashback to that spell you need again, like anger otgs. He's no snap caster mage, but I could see him as a 1 or 2 of in a control or tempo deck.

FAMOUSWATERMELON Yeah, they are nice and flavorful walkers, but in a game its more about the cards interactions than the storyline or flavor. Most of people who play magic do so for the game, not the flavor. Especially when the game is designed for replayability, and flavor does not add to replayability. As for the pther cards, I honestly Avarice dragon seems one of the 'best' spoiled cards, and its mainly just good as a cheep dragon more than anything else. Besides, there is no reason that core sets cannot be good.

One great thing about new Jace is that if you have 5 cards in your yard, he dodges one removal spell. He's always threatening to turn into a walker to flash back a spell when you need to, and if they throw a removal spell at him, you loot and flip, making the removal spell fizzle.

RoarMaster Well the whole point of this set is to tell the stories of the main planeswalkers, so I think that flavor is more important here than in other sets. That said, core sets have never had many new playable cards in Eternal formats, besides a couple. The walkers all look pretty good in Standard, and I could see that Jace in a Modern Delver list. But you shouldn't have your hopes up too high, this is not MM. And besides, we still have about three quarters of the cards to come.

I, personally, like new Jace. First off, he does clear up the draws with his looting ability. Then, he can flashback 2 cards back. Even Snapcaster can only hit 1. Also, if nothing's worth flashbacking, then the -2/-0 ability can stall out. Also, it protects Jace a nice bit. The final ability only mill players care about. But I thinka 1 of in my Young Pyro/Delve(r) modern deck could be worth testing.

And Liliana is a badass. That card looks sick. Will definitely see standard play. I'm kinda excited for Gideon, since he hasn't been spoiled, but after looking at the other walkers, I'm not as pumped.

Jace's new ability is potentially better than flashback, as it lets you pay alternate costs like kicker or the "free" ones like on Massacre.

I'd never claim to be smart enough to figure out a great way to abuse this but I'd imagine something will crop up before too long.

It's the last core set so I hope it's badass.

Also worth noting that these walkers can be vialed in to play. Fingers crossed for a Gideon worth vialing in for modern and legacy.
