MaRo's article got spoiled early, so we have some SPICY Previews with "new" mechanics!
TL;DR: Menace is replacing Intimidate & Landwalk, Prowess is now evergreen primary in Blue secondary in Red and maybe tertiary in White, and Protection is now deciduous used only as necessary.

Magicrafter - Actually, Goblin Piledriver is a reprint. Goblin Rabblemaster is Goblin Piledriver 2.0 :)

Sees painland reprints. Cries in corner.
Sees Piledriver reprint. Wait, did they just make Piledriver legal in every format I play? Nooooooooooooooo well at least I splash red anyway. Everything's fine.

I'm currently looking through all the goblins in standard.....this could actually go somewhere. XD

Hi_diddly_ho_neighbor says... #6
I seems only fitting that if elves get revived in standard then goblins become powerful enough to oppose them for at least a little.

I still have this deck mostly sleeved up: http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=79565
Cut the Jeering Instigators and Arcbond. Insert Goblin Piledriver and another land. Should be ready to rock and roll.
Edit: I remember this was pre-DTK so I need to find room for Fodder too.
June 26, 2015 2:03 p.m. Edited.

Powerful enough goblins will destroy. Foundry Street Denizen into Goblin Piledriver into Goblin Rabblemaster sure that won't happen that often but its pretty damn powerful.
June 26, 2015 2:05 p.m.
hey what do you guys think will happen to the price of Mizzium Meddler? I think the price is gonna jump seeing as it can kind of be a poor person's Spellskite. 2 bucks for these? I plan on a playset :D
June 26, 2015 2:15 p.m.
thenba2kgod says... #10
I think it'll drop. Spellskite can be used multiple times. This new card is pretty weak. What niche does it fit into?

Rasta_Viking29 says... #11
Minelia5 $.50 to $2. I's worse than Stratus Dancer and will play out irl similar to Hushwing Gryff. Sometimes it will be amazing but most of the time it is a card rotting away in your hand.
June 26, 2015 2:31 p.m.
yeah I guess you're right. I guess I was getting greedy for a good investment :D
June 26, 2015 2:38 p.m.
I have to say it's pretty good against standard burn though...
June 26, 2015 2:39 p.m.
thenba2kgod says... #14
Yeah at best it stops one burn spell and adds a 1/4 creature to the field
June 26, 2015 2:40 p.m.
yep but a 1/4 also isn't that bad against burn. I know I just want it to be good XD
June 26, 2015 2:42 p.m.
thenba2kgod says... #16
Well i retract my statement. At best it will stop Crater's Claws from finishing you. I may get it if it drops to around a dollar for sideboard vs my meta. I agree though that Stratus Dancer is better though.

Could someone add the new spoilers for today to the card database so we can use them in our decks?
June 26, 2015 3:30 p.m.
yes please :D
Also, did I misspell it, or is jace's sanctum untagged?
June 26, 2015 3:37 p.m.
So, is Shaman of the Pack good enough for modern Elvish Company to splash ? If so, what would they remove for it?
June 26, 2015 3:59 p.m.
JDMCRIB - It would let the Elves deck add Thoughtseize to its arsenal, but the deck seems streamlined enough not to need it.
So basically, is Thoughtseize + Shaman of the Pack better than Fracturing Gust, Burrenton Forge-Tender, and Hushwing Gryff (all out of the board)?
June 26, 2015 4:10 p.m.
JWiley129: You're forgetting Abrupt Decay. Do you even need any other noncreature spells when Decay is available?
The cards you mentioned are all easy enough to replace anyway.
June 26, 2015 4:30 p.m.
Femme_Fatale could you add the new cards that were spoiled today to the database?
June 26, 2015 5:12 p.m.
VampireArmy says... #25
Be patient guys. She has a long day job and can't devote all her hours to the site anymore. Expect updates in a few days tops.
June 26, 2015 5:13 p.m.
CoCo goblins in modern now that Goblin Piledriver is being reprinted?
June 26, 2015 6 p.m.
I wish everyone would stop suggesting CoCo in decks that run 20 lands or less and no mana dorks.
June 26, 2015 6:02 p.m.
VampireArmy says... #30
Gruul goblins with atarkas command seems great though piledriver in
June 26, 2015 6:11 p.m.
elpokitolama says... #32
Not legendary, but requires one extra mana and traded first strike for flying... It is confirmed, Thalia is now a poney!
June 26, 2015 7:04 p.m.
I think it's safe to say that we are a Goblin War Strike away from goblins being a thing in modern.
June 26, 2015 7:54 p.m.
I just threw together this deck, and it's been faring quite well on untap. / elves, it's some serious shit.
June 26, 2015 8:14 p.m.
Ohthenoises says... #36
I mean, Goblin Grenade and Lightning Bolt is a large amount of burn. Combined with shock+fetch lands and creature damage that represents more damage than most modern players can cope with.
June 26, 2015 8:16 p.m.
And I haven't tested this deck yet, but it seems like a basic goblins deck. Goblin War Drums
June 26, 2015 8:17 p.m.
Omg Piledriver reprint!!!!!!!!!;););););)I have a Piledriver deck on my profile. Comments welcome

Thank you VampireArmy, and he's right CheeseBro. However I do spend the measly 1-3 hours I have after work everyday to do these spoilers, so you can thank me for devoting my life to this site :)
June 26, 2015 10:21 p.m.
Femme_Fatale: Thank you for adding them! It is appreciated! One thing though, There are more cards entered in than there are spoiled, yet some cards are still missing
June 26, 2015 10:24 p.m.
Femme_Fatale says... #41
Duplicates and the transformed versions. IE: liliana, Heretical Healer and Liliana, Defiant Necromancer. I assure you that there are not more cards than there are spoiled. My folder currently has 110 cards and will most likely be adding about 10-20 more today, more than the 118 that is currently in our database.
June 26, 2015 10:27 p.m.
oh yeah sorry i forgot about them. also, there are 2 Bounding Krasis
June 26, 2015 10:29 p.m.
Femme_Fatale says... #43
Yeah I know. Hence why I said duplicates. I can't do anything about those as I don't have admin privileges to deal with them.
June 26, 2015 10:31 p.m.
is yeaGO the only one that does? or does Epochalyptik have them too
June 26, 2015 10:33 p.m.
Femme_Fatale says... #45
I don't know about epoch, but he has his hands full managing the forums and MTG Rules Q&A. Yeago is the only one that does admin work on the card database that I know of.
June 26, 2015 10:35 p.m.
I can't wait for this set! Can someone explain the flavor and story behind it, though?
June 27, 2015 12:33 a.m.
Femme_Fatale says... #48
I already did on the T/O forum many days ago yeaGO.
June 27, 2015 12:37 a.m.
you'll have to direct my attention to that, hopefully without wobbling this thread off more wildly off topic. we'll see :P
Ragon_Wolfbane says... #1
Just in general with T1 mana dorks with no draw backs were overwhelming. I mean T2 you could get out a Rabble Master. Besides many decks have been able to run T2 mana dorks such as Rattleclaw Mystic and still work rather well. I feel T1 mana dorks seem a little overkill unless they have a downside with them.
