So with the recent spoil of Mirage Mirror in the upcoming set, what do you guys think of this in a Dark Depths deck??? Is this another Thespian's Stage? Just popped into my head.

Yes, VERY sweet for commander! I thought the same. Solemnity is just awesome too, and you are certainly right about that. The mana needed for the trigger is a little high, but still beats paying to remove counters, none the less..but I suppose any established deck with Dark Depths in it doesn't plan on triggering it that way lol.

Mirage Mirror can also be used against Show and Tell decks and the like. ("Oh, you cheated in a Griselbrand? Same bro!) Whether it's 5 mana is actually playable in Legacy is a different question.

Does the current all-in Dark Depths deck have room for it? I would imagine it wants even more copies of the combo. However, the deck is currently "solved" with cards not building the combo put in strictly to protect it. I wouldn't cut Pithing Needle or Lotus Petal.
Maybe cut an Expedition Map? They're rarely ever seen as a full playset.

It is solved, for sure...but I dont see why more cards that allow you to break it would hurt...even if it's a copy. Mirage Mirror I think would only be next to Solemnity just because of what it does, and it's cheaper.

What do you cut, though? I was also thinking Not of This World, because Mirage Mirror can copy so many things, it can be its own win condition if you use it alongside something like Hissing Quagmire.

What happens when you copy an opponents dark depths with mirage mirror?

Costs 5 mana to do it. I don't think this will see play alongside Vampire Hexmage in Dark Depths decks. Solemnity might see play in those decks, however, because it also acts a hate against other strategies in addition to comboing.
Mirage Mirror is a pretty sweet card for commander though!
