What do you think is gonna be in modern masters 2
Yeh but then I googled it and I think premium card means rare or mythic, not foil bro. I think this because it says one premium per pack for Modern Masters 1 as well.

The other Eldrazi titans are pretty much a guarantee, given that Emrakul is collector number 003

I didn't crack MM1, but someone has confirmed that MM1 had a foil in each pack also. Premium card does mean foil, not rare. Therefore there will be a foil in each pack of MM2

With Emrakul, the Aeons Torn spoiled, my speculation revolves around various ways of 'ramping' or 'tricking' it into play.

Entail is going to be at Mythic Rare, so likely there will be very few supports for it in the set. It doesn't help limited, which is an actual factor in MM2, there may be a reanimator suite though if there are a few more bomb rares/uncommons. Unburial Rites would be on my radar.

The set is supposed to be draftable.
Mythic or not, I wouldn't expect there to be Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, and no support for it to be played. - CMC and only 17 land in a draft deck... it would basically state "you can draft it, but you can't play it".
Reanimator may be in there, but it doesn't help Emrakul, the Aeons Torn as it won't be in the graveyard. - And Unburial Rites was only in Innistrad, which will not be in MM2015, so it should not be on your radar.

That's my point. It's draft able and likely not built around a Mythic Rare. Remember how Khans Draft was built around getting Pearl Lake Ancient and/or Narset?
Sorry, forgot about the sets it included. It's up to Zendikar, right? Urza Lands aren't coming either unless they're including core sets. Through the Breach might be there for the Kamigawa bit.

There's a huge difference between a 6-7 drop bomb like Pearl Lake Ancient or Narset, Enlightened Master and a 15 drop unplayable card. - With PLA or Narset, you can easily draft supporting cards and make a good deck that works whether you draw the Bomb or not. - With Emrakul, if you draw it early, you are stuck with a dead card... if you draw it late... you are STILL stuck with a dead card. - The only way to make it playable in a draft setting it to have some cards that might make it useable, through ramp or tricks.
They may not have a large number of tricks... but I would expect a couple support cards. - Though Progenitus was in MM1, with little to no support in Draft... still, I think there will likely be a little support.
As for not printing Urza Lands, they did not state they would not be printing cards from core sets. - In fact, though very few (6 that I could see), there were cards in Modern Masters 1 that were only printed in core sets (or only in core sets for Modern Legal sets). - Blood Moon, City of Brass, City of Brass, Festering Goblin, Squee, Goblin Nabob, Terramorphic Expanse, and Thundering Giant.

@TheAmazingSalsa That would be great. It seems like if they don't just reprint a bunch of crud commons and uncommons like last time then Bolt would be a fair card to balance out red.

I think we'll open up a lot of disappointment in MM2.
On the bright side, we get more chase rares into circulation, even if the price doesn't go down. We also get more players to wreck with our high tier decks.

@JexInfinite Yeah. I have some fairly low expectations for card choices. It's supposed to be draftable, which is an excuse to print constructed unplayables everywhere.

@jandrobard what's the alternative? Print nothing but chase cards? It's a sizable set - not every card can be a constructed staple.

@Named_Tawyny If Wizards reassigns the rarities of a few cards in fringe decks, (Like griselcannon, tokens, tron, non-ascendancy storm, merfolk, etc) then at least 2-3 cards in a pack can be a constructed staple, not the "50% chance of the rare slot being playable, plus possible storm card" that was a lot of MM1.

Yeah, that would be great; it would probably make draft more fun as well, actually.

ChiefBell I think that's very fair. We can't know what impact it will have until they have confirmed things, like Noble Hierarch being a rare, and AEther Vial at uncommon like it originally was.

My modern masters wish list: Snapcaster Mage, Noble Hierarch, Path to Exile, and Geist of Saint Traft
February 21, 2015 10:52 a.m.
Both snappy and geist cant be in. They're not including anything from Inn/ Avr / Dka
February 21, 2015 11:01 a.m.
I said above. They're not including anything from that block.

We do know that 2 of the 3 following cards will be in the MM2015
All Is Dust
Artisan of Kozilek
Eldrazi Conscription
Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is has a set number of 3, so there are 2 cards before it... they are numbered first by color (colorless-nonartifact first), then alphabetically... only the above three cards are colorless and alphabetically preceding Emrakul.
Based on how much Modern play these have seen, I would guess it will be All Is Dust (RG Tron) and Eldrazi Conscription (Bant Conscription)... both very minimal, but I can't find any modern decks with Artisan of Kozilek in the list. - Of course, it could still be in MM2015 for the Limited playability factor if the set works well enough with it.
