Tomorrow, official spoilers for Modern Masters 2015 begin! So far we have officially spoiled:
- Tarmogoyf
- Karn Liberated
- Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
- Etched Champion
- Splinter Twin
- Spellskite
- Vendilion Clique
Remember you can find spoilers at mythicspoiler.com, mtgsalvation.com, and at wizards homepage.
It's also looking very likely that our draft archetype is Eldrazi ramp. My initial thoughts on cards included seems wrong now, but I won't hold out hope for Overgrown Battlement and/or Vent Sentinel!

many a people are going to get wrecked by infiltrator tempo in limited
May 5, 2015 11:20 a.m.
Eh. I get disappointed when they release poor rares or mythics.
May 5, 2015 11:26 a.m.
So.. 10 mythics has been officially spoiled. How many are there in the set?

last year there was two walkers. Wonder if that will be the same this year
May 5, 2015 11:44 a.m.
There was an article about Magic online and it said that the two MTGO avatars you could unlock were Dark Confidant and Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas. The thinking is that those two cards will be in MM15.
May 5, 2015 11:51 a.m.
JWiley129 Yes, but on the page where these avatars was presented they had this funny disclaimer:
Please note, these avatars do not necessarily reflect cards that are in Modern Masters 2015 Edition. They were selected to represent cards in the Modern format.

I am such a fan of all the rarity shifts. Etched Monstrosity, Eldrazi Temple and Eye of Ugin all deserved it so I am pleased.
May 5, 2015 12:23 p.m.
Added the following to mm2 set:
- All Is Dust
- All Suns' Dawn
- Artisan of Kozilek
- Iona, Shield of Emeria
- Eldrazi Temple
- Etched Monstrosity
- Etched Oracle
- Eye of Ugin
- Fulminator Mage
- Kozilek's Predator
- Hurkyl's Recall
- Shadowmage Infiltrator
- Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre
May 5, 2015 1 p.m.
I'm starting to think we should expect Rancor... just a guess based on Daybreak Coronet.
It would also work nicely as a way of giving Trample to the Eldrazi, as a finisher, as well as something to sac to Annhilator that keeps coming back.
I think it would just fit nicely in the set. - Especially if they include Infect to go with Noble Hierarch.
May 5, 2015 1:39 p.m.
So.... Lightning Bolt at uncommon for the first time ever. - Probably won't change the price much, but this version may quickly become a bit more expensive (especially foil).
I'm sure some people will insist on only using the 'uncommon version', or the 'uncommon foil version'.
May 5, 2015 1:46 p.m.
Rayenous - In Mark Rosewater's article yesterday he said that Infect was not included as a theme because it wasn't playing nicely with the other mechanics.

I have no issue with infect being absent. I don't hate the mechanic, but I'm a bit bored of it.

I haven't really been following MMA 2 lately, but do you people think that they'll stick the filter lands in here?
May 5, 2015 2:04 p.m.
Leyline of Sanctity Confirmed !!,!!,!,!!!!
Won't let me upload image tho ):
May 5, 2015 2:10 p.m.
Also predicting Torpor Orb because they've reprinted all of the modern sideboard staples like recall and leyline.
May 5, 2015 2:14 p.m.
I might start a thread on a list of mechanics/themes, because there seem to be a lot. Bolt reprint at uncommon REALLY caught me off guard. BB at Mythic REALLY caught me off guard. This set is looking good!

I'm thinking they might stick Horizon Canopy, Grove of the Burnwillows and maybe one or both of Nimbus Maze / River of Tears in there. Possibly even Tolaria West or Dryad Arbor although I think with the FTV printing arbor is not as likely. Just a hunch but I think it makes sense. They have to have some kind of mana fixing in there right? Can't be fetches or shocks... I've been unloading my copies over the last few weeks so hopefully I'm right haha =)
May 5, 2015 2:17 p.m.
@JWiley129 - I hadn't read that. Good to know. - I still think Rancor is a good fit with the other things I mentioned... either way, I'm just glad Noble Hierarch is being reprinted.
@NoPantsParade - I doubt they will print the filter lands... at least not at rare. 10 rare slots for lands would be a bit too many for Draft, and a little disappointing for many (though I'm about to start collecting, so I'd like to see them).
They will likely have a cycle of lands at Uncommon, like they did with Vivid's in MM1.
I could see them doing the 'Hideaways' at uncommon (also playing well with Eldrazi), or even rare.
May 5, 2015 2:22 p.m.
Isn't Grove of the Burnwillows banned in Modern?
Also seems like they're printing a LOT of SB staples.
May 5, 2015 2:26 p.m.
GoldGhost012 says... #32
Grove of the Burnwillows is definitely not banned, especially since its a / Tron staple.
May 5, 2015 2:28 p.m.
6tennis - Grove of the Burnwillows might feel banned because of its unfair interaction with Punishing Fire, which IS banned.
May 5, 2015 2:29 p.m.
Oh, right. That makes sense. Yeah, I thought that might be right.
I realize that there's been a lot of rarity changes. For example, wasn't Etched Monstrosity Mythic in NPH? It's rare now. At the same time, BB got raised to Mythic from Rare. Weird.
May 5, 2015 3:19 p.m.
Shadowmage Infiltrator will probably be semi-good in a Limited environment.
May 5, 2015 3:21 p.m.
Shadowmage Infiltrator will be a limited bomb, especially with the aura theme expected from the Daybreak Coronet spoiler :)
May 5, 2015 3:23 p.m.
QUICK THING I NOTICED: Eldrazi Temple is number 240. Eye of Ugin is number 242.
There is a land that starts with an E that hasn't been spoiled yet. Speculation?

Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder plus Lord of the Pit = endless thrull tokens to the Lord.
May 5, 2015 3:35 p.m.
I would put Evolving Wilds or Emeria, The Sky Ruin as the two most likely choices to go between them. The other choices in that alphabetical link don't mesh well in my opinion.
May 5, 2015 3:35 p.m.
May 5, 2015 3:37 p.m.
MisterMayhem Nice catch!
Heres a list of all modern lands starting with E, Eldrazi Temple and Eye of Ugin excluded:
Eiganjo Castle
Elfhame Palace
Emeria, The Sky Ruin
Encroaching Wastes
Esper Panorama
Evolving Wilds
Exotic Orchard
May 5, 2015 3:39 p.m.
FAMOUSWATERMELON says... #43
Definitely Emeria. Wilds doesn't see much modern play, ditto for the rest.
May 5, 2015 3:40 p.m.
FAMOUSWATERMELON: Evolving Wilds is nice in limited. Not all cards will be modern playable, like many of the already spoiled cards..
May 5, 2015 3:45 p.m.
FAMOUSWATERMELON says... #47
I know... but it's also been reprinted along with its clone Terramorphic Expanse a LOT of times... I just hope that Emeria comes up.
May 5, 2015 3:47 p.m.
Eldrazi Temple being 240/269 still leaves A LOT of room for land.
I would suspect all 12 Urza land (4x Images of 3x Land)... and then there's still room for a cycle of 10 of some dual land cycle, and still room for more.
May 5, 2015 4:03 p.m.
Rayenous, there are only 249. That leaves 7 lands, at least with names that come after E. Guessing the Urza's, too, but without all the different arts like you said, and then I am going to be ambitious and guess Zendikar fetches (Arid Mesa before Eldrazi Temple, the other four mixed with Urza lands after Eye of Ugin).

Love the art for All Suns' Dawn.
