Here is the text on it:

Boonweaver Giant 6W

Creature - Giant Monk

When Boonweaver Giant enters the battlefield, you may search your hand, graveyard and/or library for an aura card and put it on Boonweaver Giant. If you search your library this way, shuffle it.

Seems too expensive for its own good.

maybe in a casual deck, but nowhere else.

It costs 7. Which means its really not that playable for what it does. It doesn't impact the game the turn it comes down unless you can give it haste, it won't win you the game unless you can give it trample. A 7 cmc creature needs to be a bomb that wins you the game. This is too easily removed to be playable.

I feel like this is a good budget option for an aura based edh deck

It's about 3 mana too expensive to be good for standard.

Kicksass with Eldrazi Conscription in EDH though.

Doesn't this guy fetch up to three auras because it says "and/or"? Also, I had to be the one to say it: Alpha Authority .

TheAnnihilator It doesn't mean search for 3 auras. It means you may search 3 different places for 1 aura. Too expensive to play in standard and is ok for EDH. No where close to Bruna...who has flying...

TheAnnihilator

No, because right after it says and/or, it says "an aura card". That signifies one card that can be in up to three different places.

Ya know, I knew I was going to get ninja'd coming into that one...

Oh, that makes him entirely unplayable.

DrFunk27 You can use him to tutor out Eldrazi Conscription , then attack with Bruna, Light of Alabaster and shift the aura to her.

I mean, this will probably be like a hyper-budgeted Idyllic Tutor , but that's about it.

The biggest problem is that there's no Aura in Standard worth tutoring out for the cost of 7 mana, except maaayyyybe Primal Visitation or Righteous Authority . Even then, though, that's still bad.

The only Auran in Standard that might, in any way, make this worth while is Raised by Wolves ... giving you a 6/6 and two 2/2 wolves for 7 mana.

The next best, in my opinion, is Primal Visitation , for a 7/7 Haste.

None of these are with the slots in a Standard deck.
