Most Wanted Reprints for Standard?

So this topic is probably discussed reasonably often, but I'm wondering which older cards everyone thinks would make a good fit in today's Standard? I'm thinking of the metagame, but of course feel free to share any reprints you want for financial purposes (Liliana of the Veil ? Zendikar fetches?)
My personal most-wanted reprint is actually Mystic Snake . I think it's at a decent power level for Standard right now, and it would fit beautifully into my UG tempo deck. Mystic Snake + Quickling could be hilarious. Also, the last set it was printed in was Time Spiral... And Fate Reforged is a time travel themed set... So... M-maybe??? :D
I would also really like a Jace Beleren reprint, maybe in M16. Just seems like a very reasonable planeswalker and a good fit for Standard right now. Anyway, what are your thoughts?
Oh, yeah, Tarmogoyf would be totally reasonable in Standard right now... facepalm

Tarmogoyf doesn't seem that unreasonable for standard. We have some very strong delve cards (along with pretty efficient creatures) right now to keep him in check.
I mainly just want to see efficient spells return. Mana Leak , Doom Blade , Day of Judgment . and Lightning Bolt shouldn't be too strong for standard.

Lightning Bolt will probably never see the light of day in standard again even if the format was to speed back up. But the rest probably could but I am not sure about right now as wizards slowed down the format and bring back cheap removal, counterspells, and boardwipes do not slow down anything. :3
After seeing blackmarker's post I totally forgot that I wanted Damnation reprinted (mostly for EDH) but I doubt they would print it outside a core set or a nonstandard set due to the regen clause and its a cheap boardwipe. :C

The card I want reprinted is dun dun dun Sun Droplet !
I think this card would give the U/B control deck that little edge it needs against the faster decks, and would not be unreasonably powerful.

Dragon Broodmother , Chandra's Phoenix , Shock , Incinerate , Ethereal Haze , Hold the Line , Lightning Helix , Guerilla Tactics, Reverberate , Tibalt and landfall stuff, cause why not.

Personally? Zen fetches, Noble Hierarch , Liliana of the Veil (not with Waste Not or Thoughtseize mind you), Tarmogoyf would be nice but not with fetches (wouldn't be TOO bad because it would compete with delve but the fetches make him a bit much).
I really would love to see a River of Tears cycle or a Horizon Canopy cycle. Futuresight was where WOTC was trying out mechanics like Delve for the first time (see Logic Knot ) and I think that a cycle of lands that they were trying out would be nice.

zen fetches, I would like to see a standard with Birds of Paradise
again, and this standard has enough colors for it. it might be too fast though, multicolor mana dork at one-drop hasn't existed for a while and the slow format probably isn't the place for it.
Solemn Simulacrum fits the formats slow with lots of colors bill quite well. Color fixes for any color combo, chump blocks, mana acceleration. I think it could fit standard (and I want like 5 for commander)

asasinater13 the problem with having Birds of Paradise in standard right now (unless you were talking about after khans rotates) is Jeskai Ascendency combo. 2 any color dorks with rattleclaw mystic would be too consistent.

yeah, I understand that it wouldn't be good right now. I just got a playset after they rotated out and want to use them at some point. So I'm patiently waiting for them to be back in standard.

If Batterskull gets reprinted first my head would explode, then I would cry. I can see printed soon especially with all the colorless shananagens in standard and Memnite would be to good for standard.

I also want to see Goblin Guide , Vexing Devil , Chandra Nalaar (because she is amazing!), Thrummingbird , and because Control for the fu%k*ng win Force of Will , Snapcaster Mage And two awesome walkers Karn Liberated and Jace, the Mind Sculptor and there sidekick Delver of Secrets Flip .

Steamflogger Boss & Moriok Rigger . I don't believe a rigger tribal would be to overpowered right now. And it stands to reason that some sort of "contraption" will be needed for time travel perhaps?

Lore wise, goyf actually stands a chance to make it in fate reforged. Time travel based, with enough GY hate (and delve) to keep him in check. Not a great chance, mind you, but non zero IMHO. Oh, and my reprint wish list? Bitterblossom ,Fulminator Mage , and zendi fetches, in that order.

It's gotta be Buried Alive for sultai shenanigans. To be honest I don't even play standard, I just want it to be modern legal for my Necrotic Ooze deck. Ooze might be good in sultai for a reprint honestly. Even if you slap an absurd delve cost to buried alive, I'd still play it. Also Ghoultree, I have 8, pulling a couple more wouldn't even bother me at this point.

I was thinking more about Manamorphose, and realized that it would be perfect for KTK Standard...
Every wedge based deck will run either

, so it would be useable as mana fixing in any wedge deck... plus since it's a cantrip, it plays well with Delve. :) ... Might make Jeskai Ascendancy Combo a little to good for Standard though. :)

i dont think that Wizards will bring back so many old mechanics like detain and populate that dont really fit story-wise, but i like the ideas of the swords. Maybe for just tap and doesnt untap during its controller's next untap step, and for maybe split up the token to be, put the 1/3 into play then gain 1 life for each creature you control. Would +1 the comment if i could tho

My take on the Sword:
Sword of Fear and Loathing /
Artifact Equipment / Mythic Rare
Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has protection from black and from red.
Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, put two -1/-1 counter divided among up to two target creatures that player controls and put a 2/1 black and red Devil creature token onto the battlefield with Intimidate and "This creature cannot block.".
Equip
The interesting part is... the sword gives protection from 
and ... the creature has intimidate. - So after getting a token, you put the sword on it, and it can't be blocked except by artifact creatures.

For those of us who love the delve mechanic, I think that Deranged Assistant should be reprinted, this would be an amazing mana dork that would have huge synergy with the delve mechanic, this would be even more amazing if they printed an enchantment that gave all of your spells delve.

I really want to see Vapor Snag or Unsummon get a reprint. Mono-Blue bounce decks are very fun to play. Essence Scatter and Mana Leak would also be welcome, but maybe not in a format with Nullify and Disdainful Stroke.
I would also like to see a reprint/new version of Nicol Bolas or Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker and Cruel Ultimatum. Cruel control in standard.

Do you think Preordain and Ponders banning from Modern makes them unlikely reprint candidates for standard?
It's too bad it didn't happen here, but I'd like to see some Wedge Ultimatums. Just to complete the super-cycle.
