MTG Origins Promo Cards
Spoilers, Rumors, and Speculation forum

I have, like most people I'm sure, been following the spoilers of the new Origins set coming out. I plan on attending all three days of prerelease fun at my LGS.
Knowing what cards are coming and building a strat early is important to do well but I have not been able to find what the promo cards for each color are going to be. I do know that Mizzium Meddler is the promo for blue but does anyone know what the others are?
This is the last bit of info I could possibly get to help with pre-pre-deck ideas. Thanks for your comments...and Good Luck To You All and May The Odds Be Forever In Your Favor.
Couldn't help myself.

Yes I definitely want to know what color to pick too, so any help would be much appreciated.

The Mizzium Meddler promo you linked is the Launch promo not a pre-release promo, that's why it's stamped with the release date and not the pre-release weekend dates.
They haven't announced any promos for pre-release weekend. Since I doubt Wizards is just slacking on the issue, I assume it's because they're going to do it like they have done the last 3 pre-releases. Where they have multiple promos for each color choice.

The whole "every rare is your promo" deal seems like the plan here.
I like it.

It has been announced that you will get 1 of 7 possible foil datestamped rares. There is an 8th possibility for a mythic, which can only the planeswalker.
So, if you choose the Green box, you will get 1 out of 8 to grab a foil Nissa.
Mizzium Meddler is the promo for release weekend. Relic Seeker is the buy-a-box promo. Conclave Naturalists is the promo for Gameday, while Languish is the promo for top 8 and gameday. Sword of the Animist is the art for the 1st place gameday playmat.

One of the green promos is Outland Colossus as shown here

Thank you all for the comments and help. I know that when I went to the Dragons prerelease and did the two headed giant with a friend we both chose U/W and got Living Lore as the stamped card in the boxes. I didn't know if this kind of thing could be expected and if so I wanted to have a game plan in place based on the card I knew I would get.

For those wondering what color to pick though, I think black has the best rares, even outside of limited (citing Languish, Kothophed, Soul Hoarder, Liliana, Heretical Healer Flip, etc.), and some good cards in limited as well (Dark Petition) so that seems to be the obvious pick to me.

It was just coincidence that you both got Living Lore at the Dragons pre-release. It was the same situation as now, Living Lore was just 1 of X possible promos and you both randomly got it.

Black is in fact one of the worst in terms of playable commons and uncommons, which is the bread and butter of limited. Dark Petition, especially in sealed is nigh on unplayable without at least 3 other high cost bombs, which is not likely to happen. You cannot take a turn off in limited without impacting the board just to fetch a card you are very likely to draw in a 40 card deck. For sealed:
White is first, with more removal on common and uncommon than black and the most solid creatures.
Green is second, mostly because it is has synergy with all the other colors - GW is renown, GB is elves and the graveyard, GR is big dudes and ramp, GU is something you hope you do not have to play, since it does not have support.
Black is third, with a lot of solid cards, focused on the midrange battles, which Limited is based on. Pair decently with most colors, BW auras is a good place to be.
Red is fourth, with a lot of cheap removal, good Limited guys and overall synergy with the rest of the team. The bad thing is half the cards are good for control decks and the other half for aggro decks, so you will likely get only half the playable cards.
Blue is fifth, which has terrible synergies with all the other colors, outside of the insane-o bonkers UR Thopters, which contains actually Constructed playable cards, but that will only happen in magical christmas land. it got the worst end of the "strictly worst" stick - most of its "SW" cards are in the common and uncommon slots, which is bad for limited (Clash of Wills for example). Has few ways to impact the board.

@Boza, keep in mind that your seeded pack has no impact on the other 6 boosters in the box. You can just as easily take the black box and build a WG deck as you can take the black box and build a BR deck. We're discussing only the promo rares here.

ABadMagicPlayer100 while that is true, keep in mind that you're getting your promo card, plus six other cards of that colour (probably 2 uncommon and four common? Maybe not?) so you're going to have a not-insignificant bounce towards the colour you choose.
If you're really really really hoping for a specific promo, then by all means, choose that colour and cross your fingers, but ignoring colour altogether is also short sighted, IMNAAHO.

I've been watching alot of videos on YouTube and going over the card spoilers for the set preparing for this weekend and based on what I have seen I'm going to play Green tonight and see how it works. I will end up playing White sometime as well before it is all said and done. That is based on the commons and uncommons within those colors.
The main reason for starting this thread was to see if there were set promo cards that I could count on. Like I said earlier at the last prerelease, which was also my first mind you, a friend and I both got Living Lore as promos so I thought that this was common and could expect similar with this one. I appreciate all the feedback and comments. It has been helpful and informative.
Good luck to you all who will be playing tonight at midnight.

Well there is only 8 different possibilities for each color, so it is fairly common for people to end up with the same promos. There's just no way to guarantee it.
