That's pretty disgusting for a single-U uncommon. Limited is going to be interesting...

It's like a Lure toting Void Stalker . (Which I like better BTW but still.)

It's an interesting card for sure. I like the art. I think it will replace Cloudfin Raptor in MuD decks.

head scratch

Meh? It's kind of cool? But I can't see this being played outside of standard. It's a nice combo and all, but that's about it. Of course casual blue decks will have a field day.

CanadianSamurai It's also removal that dodges every kind of defence (I think). It can get rid of a indestructible, hexproof, regenerating, pro everything, recurring creature as long as it doesn't have unblockable. I can't say if it'll get used outside of standard because I don't have any experience with those formats, but I'd say it's better than "kind of cool". I think it deserves an unmodified "cool".

Oh, it also just occurred to me that putting Vortex Elemental onto your library is part of the ability's effect, not it's cost, so you can have extra fun with bounce/flicker.

That was actually covered in the article:

"If Vortex Elemental isn't on the battlefield when its first ability resolves, any creatures blocking or blocked by it when it left the battlefield will be put on top of their owners' libraries and those libraries will be shuffled."

i really hate cloudfin in my mono blue deck and want to replace it with this. its like ok you play a pack rat. i force you to attack with Bident of Thassa and now you lose your pack rat

I'm not sure about this one. Seems solid as a sideboard card for control decks. Having to keep a land untapped every turn makes you play a turn behind essentially, that's the problem with this card. MUD doesn't want this, its an aggro deck. I have to see how this one works out though.

Fated Infatuation this thing, then Populate like crazy!!

I'm also noticing that this will get the +1/+1 from any Master of Waves you may have out... Go, go MUD!!

I will have to point out though. Drown in Sorrow AND Bile Blight are coming. This will hose MUD pretty well.

Does look pretty fun.

Unless there's a Master of Waves or something else to give it +power, there's no need to block it, and it can only block non-flyers, so Desecration Demon and other big threats like Stormbreath Dragon , AEtherling , etc. are still safe.
