So, I was waiting to see if they would reprint Mutavault in M15, but sadly no, they didn't. I have a playset of ones from Morningtide and I was wondering if the price on them will rise at all. Should I sell them quickly or hang on to them???

I don't think that the demand is there for them; they're only played in a handful of decks, and the supply from m14 is huge. No way they'll reach what they were previously. I'd say sell now.

They will probably drop a lot. Mutavault sees little play outside of standard. It sees a little bit of play in modern and legacy but not much. The market is completely flooded with mutavaults at the moment so when rotation comes everyone will want to get rid of theirs and there will be way more supply than there is demand,

Mutavault prices will tank then slowly increase.
But I don't think they will creep as far up as they are now. Prior to m14 they were actually a little cheaper, good indication they will fall.

The only reason they're priced so high is they're being played everywhere. MTG top 8 fits them at 78% of deck atm. That's ludicrously high.

as far as I know, they only see play in merfolk decks (both modern and legacy), and a few tribal faeries decks, but that's about it. I would sell while they are as popular as they are now

I don't hate this card because it's powerful. I hate it because it's a card that any deck that can feasibly run it should do so.

@TheDevicer, APPLE01DOJ: You know it's really stupid on R&D's part because it was in almost every deck during Morningtide as well. I think they overestimated how little a free 2/2 cares about tribal mechanics. What on Earth were they expecting it the second time around in Standard? That it would only be played in Slivers? Just lol...

I've seen people run them in decks where there mana base is so sketchy I just want to grab them by the throat and scream "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU".

Don't be hating on 23 lands - Jund Monster decks, running three copies. It's not like these decks have to hit double mana at certain spots...

they may drop a little when the sell off happens from it rotating out of standard, but it will prob rise back to about where they are now as they are played outside of standard. so it mainly depends on if you play other formats in which it is played.
