3BB

5 loyalty base

+1 scry 1, draw a card (so deck control and draw)

-2 Unsummon

-8 Emblem. Counter opponents first spell each turn

3UU is his cost. He's already been posted in 2 different forums and you could've linked the card art at least. He's a bit to expensive at 5cmc for his abilities but I'm sure he will see play standard and potentially in Modern, although I'm not sure his abilities are good enough.

He's pretty decent, and that's about it. Not anywhere near broken, he's just a generic, typical blue walker. I know that I'll be using him in my commander deck, but I don't think that he'll see much play outside of EDH due to his 5cmc; but I can see some standard control decks running one of him.

no

I'd slap a 100 price ticked on that jace.

He starts with 5 loyalty, spins up to 6 in the same turn. Oath of Gideon will speed this up by 1.

So you pay 5 for 6. and for -8 you get an emblem that says "you win the game"

overpowered.

------ Hahahaha, please tell me you're joking.

DrFunk27: I hope he is too. I'm not a jace player, but do think he will be flexible in EDH deck more than Modern and Standard. He's a one-of in Standard for simply being useful and a maybe in modern comtrol decks due his high CMC at 5.

Jace kinda makes me want to brew U/W/x Superfriends-ish Control for Standard. Use Detective Jace, Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  Flip, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, Oath of Gideon, maybe Oath of Jace and/or Hedron Alignment (for the lulz?) and other spicy things like Planar Outburst, Dragonlord Ojutai, Reflector Mage, Archangel Avacyn, and Declaration in Stone. If Sorin is a good fit there's a lot of useful black spells as well.

----->???<----- Nah, his -2 only hits creatures. That's what Unsummon means.

I think he's really strong too. A free Serum Visions stapled to a low cost bounce spell is not something I want to play against, we need an Appetite for Brains style Abrupt Decay.

Like I said in the spoiler thread, he seems incredibly boring and uninspired. None of his abilities are interesting, and none of them are particularly good for a 5 mana planeswalker. This isn't even as good as Ob Nixilis Reignited, and that's seeing next to no Standard play.

Agreed that he won't see play, at least from a Modern perspective, as I don't keep up with standard. 5 CMC walkers are not Modern playable without access to better counterspells than we curently have in order to slow the format down.

KillDatBUG, I wouldn't say he is less powerful than Ob Nixilis Reignited as the + ability on Jace is quite a bit better and the - ability can be used twice while still leaving Jace on the field with 1 loyalty counter.
