The newest judge promos have now been revealed, and they are Food Chain and Rhystic Study .
I have been desiring another reprint of rhystic study for years, now, since its reprint in Commander's Arsenal did not at all decrease its price, so I should be happy about this new reprint, but the fact that it is being reprinted as a judge promo will not decrease its price, either. Why could WotC not have reprinted it in a Commander, From the Vault, or Duel Decks set? At least the artwork on both cards is amazing.
What does everyone else say about this? What do you think of these new judge promos?
Profet93 - Please. These are judge promos. WotC doesn't directly sell these. A better argument against these would be that WotC allowed Rhystic Study to increase in price 8 times its original value just a few short years ago and is now treating it as a premium card. You're being silly.

I should have mentioned that I was only partially joking. Of course because they are judge promos its different. I was mentioning foils or box toppers and the like. That being said, I need me an ancient tomb box topper.

WotC printed not one, but two, judge promos of Vindicate , but then printed it in a masters set after that, so I shall remain hopeful that they may eventually print Rhystic Study in a set that actually makes it affordable.

Both From the Vault and Duel Decks have been discontinued.
Well, for as long as Wizards discontinues things. cough-FNM-promos-cough
Or, as often happens, they are just calling them different things.
Last year's Guild Kits are really just Duel Decks.
Challenger Decks were really just Event Decks.

More ways for them to take my $ like Fry from Futurama. They realize that people will pay for expensive cards and even more $ for prettier versions of said cards.
