I am calling it right now. New Sorin somewhat playable.

ItchiUchiha117 says... #2

Alright, I'll respect your opinion, but could you tell me why?

September 5, 2014 6:59 p.m.

jwe94 says... #3

The words "worse than Tibalt" do not go in a sentence unless they're preceded by the words "nothing is"

@jwe94

Now, now, that's not true. Razor Boomerang is worse than Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded .

Baltec says... #5

New Sarkhan is definitely better than Tibalt and the new Sorin is VERY playable.

September 5, 2014 7:02 p.m.

There was actually a thread at one point where someone was either trolling or truly believed that Tibalt was amazing. It got out of hand very quickly.... sort of how I expect this will.

September 5, 2014 7:06 p.m.

jwe94 says... #7

@ItchiUchiha117 At least Razor Boomerang can do 1 damage and has mildly amusing flavor text Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded just derps away your cards and gets killed before he could have any chance of possibly redeeming himself

September 5, 2014 7:15 p.m.

Spootyone says... #8

Yeahhh you can't just make such a claim without backing it up and expect people not to jump at you on it.

Rasta_Viking29 says... #9

Sarkhan is flat out great.

September 5, 2014 7:22 p.m.

Tibalt works in flashback, unearth, and madness decks. He also works with delve. Razor Boomerang is horribly inefficient in everything. I'm not saying Tibalt is good, just that he has some applications, most of which are overlooked.

September 5, 2014 7:23 p.m.

Both die to Doom Blade

DX5 says... #12

Sarkhan The Dragon Whisperer has 1 relevant ability and is a 5 drop mono red planeswalker.

I don't think -3 for a Flame Slash is that good when Ral Zarek does -2 for a Lightning Bolt (and he costs one less)

His ultimate is certainly not game winning assume you ever get it off.

His +1 is pretty good though but Idk if it's worth playing him.

Also the guy who liked Tibalt was me!

September 5, 2014 7:30 p.m.

Oh... I feel we should leave now...

September 5, 2014 7:38 p.m.

jwe94 says... #14

DX5 you either really love Tibalt's lore or are a very well fed troll

September 5, 2014 7:41 p.m.

VampireArmy says... #15

New sarkhan might not be amazing but damn....lower than tibalt? .....well fed indeed

September 5, 2014 7:47 p.m.

Necrohellion says... #16

I've been waiting for Grafted Skullcap to be reprinted and Sarkhan's emblem is arguably better because you draw 3 on your turn instead of 2

September 5, 2014 7:50 p.m.

NerdPounder says... #17

Are you kidding? The new Sarkhan is better and more versatile than Stormbreath Dragon , I could see a lot of decks replacing the dragons with Sarkhan, but I could easily see a deck that just plays both. His emblem is kinda crappy, but what the heck man he just kills your opponent before that ever happens.

Zuckfat says... #18

Tibalt wishes he were faithless looting. But alas, he comes up short.

September 5, 2014 8:20 p.m.

MagicalHacker says... #19

Tibalt is literally the best 2-drop planeswalker in existance. For those of you who think that Tibalt is the only planeswalker that requires a certain build, both Nissas, Koth, Lili of the D, and both Tezzerets also ask for a certain build. Of those, some are bad, but I'd say the worst planeswalker is Gideon, Champion of Justice (unless you are trying to play a multicolored deck with Koth of the Hammer ).

That said, new Sarkhan is basically a 4/4 flying haste indestructible creature that's immune to sorcery removal for only 5 mana. How you say that is bad is beyond me.

September 5, 2014 8:26 p.m.

@ MagicalHacker

Only two drop Planeswalker in existence*

Fixed.

September 5, 2014 8:31 p.m.

xlaleclx says... #21

The new Sarkhan is VERY playable in standard. It's a 4/4 dragon that is hard to hit with most removal and flame slashes creatures. Sorin is barely playable in standard.

September 5, 2014 8:31 p.m.

DX5 says... #22

Tibalt is the only 2-drop planeswalker in existence. It's a big reason why he's playable in red. You don't want a Red Planeswalker costing more than 3. Chandra, Pyromaster is halfway decent at 4 but still.

September 5, 2014 8:33 p.m.

MagicalHacker says... #23

Exactly. Saying he's bad is like forgetting the fact that his upside is in his cmc.

September 5, 2014 8:34 p.m.

TheRedDude says... #24

No. Just No.

Calling all zandls...this was funny last time.

September 5, 2014 9:05 p.m.

NerdPounder says... #29

There's nothing wrong with expensive red planeswalkers, as long as they get played in a green deck with mana ramp like Monsters =)

September 5, 2014 9:14 p.m.

DX5 you're assuming red is only played in aggro decks. That's kind of ridiculous.

guys Trait Doctoring is good cause it's a one drop.

amidoingthisright?

September 5, 2014 9:33 p.m.

Dalektable says... #32

Don't feed the troll. We all know he is good, how can a Stormbreath Dragon with indestructible as his +1 not be good? Also his - ability is good as well, it's removal after all.

September 5, 2014 9:43 p.m.

MindAblaze says... #33

Oh and every time you deal damage you get to do something!

September 5, 2014 9:44 p.m.

Cobthecobbler says... #34

I like to imagine tibalt as the older brother I never had. I ask him, "please senpai can I have a card," and he gives it to me. Even let's me get attached to it before ripping it out from between my fingers with his corrupt, disgusting claws that son of a bitch took my freaking cARD

September 5, 2014 9:51 p.m.

Cobthecobbler: Calm down man, its just a game.

September 5, 2014 10:03 p.m.

Already been testing with Sarkhan, and it's very good.

September 5, 2014 10:36 p.m.

Cobthecobbler says... #37

This may be a game for you, but for tibalt this is war

September 6, 2014 12:17 a.m.

Zuckfat says... #38

Lol

September 6, 2014 12:19 a.m.

MAKE LOVE NOT WAR, DEAR TIBALT.

September 6, 2014 12:25 a.m.

VampireArmy says... #42

September 6, 2014 12:33 a.m.

Its not perving. I'm intoxicated.

And give no fucks.

Unless its to Tibalt. he kind of looks like George Clooney.

September 6, 2014 12:36 a.m.

VampireArmy says... #44

:D Dude(ete?) my first ever cosplay will be tibalt if i ever do one. I love his style of clothing and his lore....hell i love his magic too...but the card....sad

September 6, 2014 12:38 a.m.

His back story is sweet though. One of my favorite "minor" planeswalker stories they've ever done.

September 6, 2014 12:42 a.m.

Femme_Fatale says... #46

Tibalt is love? Are you kidding me? I wouldn't date that fucker even if he bought me an expensive dress.

...

Well, yes I would.

Because I like expensive dresses ...

But I still would not enjoy that date at all and would do everything in my power to screw him over!

September 6, 2014 12:52 a.m.

VampireArmy says... #47

Femme_Fatale I feel like you and tibalt would get along....far too well

September 6, 2014 12:53 a.m.

Meanwhile I'd watch from the window as it rains and Love Hurts plays in the background.

Because Tibalt is love.

September 6, 2014 12:59 a.m.
