To sum it up.
We're going back to Ravinca in the fall; called Guilds of Ravnica, followed by what may be leading up to the end of the Gatewatch story; called Ravnica Allegiance.
Personally, I hope this isn't the end of the Gatewatch, but we'll have to see

I'm kinda surprised Wizards are doing Ravnica: Infinity Wars already; figured they'd make a Zendikar set showing what Nissa was up to during Ixalan and Dominaria
I doubt Karn will tag along; blowing up the neophyrexians is probably not going to go entirely according to plan.

(1) hope this is the end of the Justice Lea... I mean Gatewatch.
(2) Kind of cheesed that they're skipping out on Dominaria and going back to Ravnica again already. But hope they start doing something new once we're finally done with the Avenge... err I mean Gatewatch.

The final battle reaches it's culmination. The question is not "Is this the end of the Gatewatch" it is "Who/what is left standing in the end?". I have a feeling a lot of characters will be exitting the stage to make room for new characters (returning old characters?) and stories in the future. Just speculation though...

After reading the Origins and Ixalan stories, I really like Jace. He's smart, friendly, and just wants what's best for everyone.
I'm looking forward to more Ravnica. I hope it doesn't suffer the same fate as Amonkhet!

The same fate as Amonkhet? You mean curling cards and lots of misprints?
:D

Bolas will absolutely fail in the unnamed third set, but im not convinced he'll be killed for good. Only because we still dont have an explanation for why he wanted the Eldrazi freed.
I think it'll be a few years before we see him again after this event, but he'll be back. I'm thinking after Ravnica III, we'll have a 2-3 year New Phyrexia story, then possibly/hopefully some downtime or a new threat introduction and story arc, before returning to Emrakul and/or brand new Eldrazi Titans. The conclusion to that will lead into Bolas' return and exploring why he organized to set the original trio free.
Thats my general predictions, anyway.

If they kill off bolas, I will probably quit playing tbh. The goody-two-shoes club is just really annoying imo.

Magic Story goes to Ravnica, Gatewatch vs Bolas, epic battles! Woo hoo...I guess? Whatever. For me it's more like a Magic Snore-y. All I care about is another chance for shock lands to be reprinted. The 5 guilds in each set concept seems cool too, so I'm excited for good things overall. But mainly because I love playing magic in general, not for flavor or nostalgia reasons specifically.

I'm predicting that Bolas will succeed in trapping everyone on Ravnica, Tezzeret will probably die, and Karn (and maybe Jaya) will have to save them when he's done nuking the Phyrexians.

Story/flavor jumped the shark for me when they put Elzdrazi on Innistrad, followed that up with an Egyptian themed block, and then jumped directly to pirates and dinosaurs.
Digging Weatherlight: the Next Generation, but the story as a whole could use a reset.

K34 that seems like a pretty reason to stop playing the game.

I doubt it will be, but we can say that Bolas will lose here. There's too many factors leading to his demise.
First are the events in Ixalan. Bolas does not know Jace was there, coaxed Vraska to ally with him, and discovered his plans. Not forgetting to mention how powerful Jace has become thanks to regaining all of his memories.
Second is Ugin. I'd say this is the big reason. Bolas doesn't know what happened on Tarkir, so he assumes Ugin's still dead. He'll probably show up in a deus ex-machina move that'll take Bolas down.
Finally, there's the current events in Dominaria. Gideon, by the time these sets show up, will possess the Blackblade, and it just might be part of the killing blow against Bolas in some way, and ensures that he'll never return. Second, there's some pretty powerful planeswalkers showing up to stand against Bolas, not just Ugin: Teferi with a possibility of Karn and Jaya, depending on whether they'll be persuaded after Belzenlok's a goner. Jaya might not, but Karn at least has a chance. And then there's Chandra, who will probably be stronger thanks to Jaya's help.
