New Standard Product (Big Incentives)

Wizards has announced a new product called "Standard Showdown Boosters." These packs contain 3 cards, 2 of which are rare or mythic cards in standard and 1 is a foil of any rarity, including Expeditions and Inventions. The occurrence rate of the Masterpieces are 1 in 33.
How do you get these packs? By participating in Standard Showdown, intended for local game stores to host weekly (referenced to be on Saturdays) from November 17th to December 17th. The other way to obtain them is as a buy-a-box promotional at a rate suggested for 2 per box.
So as we near the holiday season, it appears Wizards is going to try to move large amounts of Standard product by producing what appear to be fairly large incentives. Thoughts?
YESSSSSSS I have been wanting things that reward me for going to smaller tournaments at my lgs like how they used to have the player rewards. I approve.

Now that I've had some time to think on it, I'm glad Wizards is bringing back better player incentives. I know a lot of people that miss the textless mail in promos, and while this is nowhere near close to the level that those were, it is nice to see that they are trying something out.

This kind of behavior leaves an aftertaste of desperation... as if they were squeezing the neck of the golden-eggs-hen.
I hope this doesn't backfire somehow.
