Here is a link to From the Vault: Annihilation, the next in the From the Vault series. 15 "brutal" cards.

I'm betting board wipes and eldrazi.

Blizzicane says... #2

I agree, it will most likely be somewhat along the lines of what you said.

I'm thinking one of the cards will be Damnation .

I love the idea of Eldrazi in a FTV series called Annihilation. Although I wonder which Eldrazi they'd pick, since Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre has already been printed in a FTV series, which leaves Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and Kozilek, Butcher of Truth .

Wouldn't be surprised if Armageddon or Damnation were printed either.

$34.99 MSRP? I hope my LGS is at least close to that price.

Didgeridooda says... #5

All is dust for sure.

Can you preorder it?

February 10, 2014 1:41 a.m.

DukeNicky says... #6

That pic is epic looking and it looks like it shows the infamous Storm Crow s LOL

February 10, 2014 1:57 a.m.

-Fulcrum says... #7

Some cards I would love to see printed in this FTV:

1: Damnation

2: Emrakul, the Aeons Torn

3: Worldfire

4: Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker

5: Doom Blade (I would love a foil FTV Doom Blade , it'd be hilarious)

6: Decree of Annihilation

7: Vindicate

MollyMab says... #8

The art reminds me of AEther Storm.

February 10, 2014 3:33 a.m.

KingSorin says... #9

That art looks awfully like Devastation Tide , and Murder of Crows explains all the crows, (printed in the same block)

February 10, 2014 5:56 a.m.

Devonin says... #10

The description on WOTC's site makes me thing there won't be anything like Vindicate or Doom Blade . No single target spells at all.

This'll be an opportunity to reprint Damnation , and they'll almost certainly put in Wrath of God , Day of Judgment and Supreme Verdict . Wouldn't be surprised to see Cataclysm or Armageddon or Worldfire either.

February 10, 2014 7:57 a.m.

Devonin says... #11

Also, not expecting them to go from 'annihilation' to 'reprinting Eldrazi' but if they -do- put an Emrakul in here, you can just add another 200% markup to what every LGS is going to charge.

February 10, 2014 7:58 a.m.

Octrate says... #12

Even though it's probably too soon, or just not happening... My hope is that Toxic Deluge will be considered for this printing. Bane of the Living , too.

February 10, 2014 8:17 a.m.

gufymike says... #13

I'm guessing, Kozilek, Butcher of Truth as the token eldrazi. Both Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn have peitehr a ftv printing (ulamog) and promo (emrakul).

Damnation should be also a snap include.

Devastation possibly

Extinction

Mogg Infestation

Desert Twister

Oblivion Stone

Rout

Whirlwind

Sunscour

some guesses. Just my two cents.

February 10, 2014 8:30 a.m.

Octrate says... #14

Also, Evacuation or Cyclonic Rift as my guesses for blue.

February 10, 2014 8:42 a.m.

ChiefBell says... #15

LOL $34.99?! Both of my local shops have put it on for $200

February 10, 2014 9 a.m.

-Fulcrum says... #17

@ChiefBell: Well, that's BS, I can't even afford an average booster box.

February 10, 2014 9:27 a.m.

ChiefBell says... #18

Yeh it is bullshit. Sadly they can get away with it because enough people will still buy. My lgs has sold out on pre orders at $200 - and we still dont even know which cards are in it.

February 10, 2014 9:28 a.m.

Rayenous says... #19

Black Sun's Zenith
Killing Wave
Mutilate

Tsunami
Boil
Armageddon

Cyclonic Rift

Wrath of God
Supreme Verdict

Tranquility

Shatterstorm

Tyrant of Discord
Phyrexian Obliterator
Waterspout Elemental
It That Betrays
Myojin of Infinite Rage

Door to Nothingness

I think all of the above could be good contenders... Acid Rain would be on the list, if it were not on the Reserve List.

Worldfire , in my opinion, is the only guaranteed one.

February 10, 2014 9:46 a.m.

beakedbard says... #20

Even though its unlikely i'd love to see Obliterate in it. I've always loved that card just for the comic value.

February 10, 2014 10:49 a.m.

erabel says... #21

I'd love to see Worldslayer or Novablast Wurm . I'm pretty sure this is gonna be a white-heavy FTV.

February 10, 2014 11:11 a.m.

Rayenous says... #22

....Apocalypse Chime ...?

lol!

But, seriously, Nevinyrral's Disk should be in it.

February 10, 2014 12:39 p.m.

LiquidKid says... #23

Knowing WoTC and the way they like to power rape our pockets, there will probably be some insanely awesome cards like Sandstorm and Fissure ...But they will have amaaaazing artwork and be worth a whole 2 or 3 bucks...I can't wait.

February 10, 2014 12:54 p.m.

LiquidKid says... #24

But in all seriousness, that picture on the link...that card could very well be Desert Twister ...We will see eh?

February 10, 2014 12:57 p.m.

Devonin says... #25

@LiquidKid erm...You realise that the cards will be worth the 40 bucks pretty much regardless, and all the ahem "power raping" is done by the LGS that marks them up several hundred percent, and that WOTC doesn't get any of that extra money right?

February 10, 2014 3:09 p.m.

GureiSeion says... #26

As the resident wrath / eldrazi fan in my group, all I'm preordering this as soon as I can.

February 10, 2014 3:15 p.m.

scottemery says... #27

Highly doubtful of anything Eldrazi appearing in this, which is a shame. However looking forward to picking Damnation at a slightly cheaper cost.

February 10, 2014 4:41 p.m.

scottemery says... #28

just read the full announcement, my bad.

February 10, 2014 4:42 p.m.

ChiefBell says... #29

It doesn't matter because all the retailer are intent on utterly ripping us off so I'm not buying.

February 10, 2014 4:43 p.m.

scottemery says... #30

Neither, FTV:20 was at MSRP: $39.99 to no effect, expect the same here.

February 10, 2014 4:45 p.m.

-Fulcrum says... #31

Honestly, WotC should open a webstore like TCGPlayer and SCG and sell their limited print products at MSRP. I fully support LGSs, but 200-300% markup is criminal.

February 10, 2014 4:52 p.m.

ChiefBell says... #32

200% lol - mine is going for 600% ($200)

February 10, 2014 5 p.m.

SharuumNyan says... #33

My LGS always sells everything at MSRP. If they can afford to, I don't see how other stores can justify ripping off their customers.

February 10, 2014 5:18 p.m.

my store sells at msrp. im sure some people take advantage, but it lets more people enjoy the game in the long run

February 10, 2014 5:46 p.m.

LiquidKid says... #35

@Devonin...I agree with you that LGS's are a part of the scalping by marking up these products to astronomical prices, but it's all set up by WoTC so stores HAVE to mark them up.As thePESSIMIST has pointed out. It's a limited print run, and it's that way for a reason. And yes I agree that 40 dollars is a bargain, IF you can acquire one for that. I mean cmon though, Commander's Arsenal was awesome...but 200 fucking dollars?!? Gimme a break!

February 10, 2014 6:10 p.m.

they dont have to mark them up. they just want to keep card values at ridiculous prices so they dont loos money on singles they have

February 10, 2014 6:12 p.m.

ChiefBell says... #37

No, it's just supply and demand. They mark them up because they can - people are still going to buy them. Just look at starcitygames. They're not doing anything unusual, it's just that people will pay $200 for the set (including myself).

February 10, 2014 6:25 p.m.

LiquidKid says... #38

ChiefBell Haha, yeah I am guilty of buying sets like these as well...FTV Realms really was amazing though.

February 10, 2014 6:43 p.m.

ChiefBell says... #39

I really wish that we didn't have such an open market and that wizards practiced some kind of market manipulation. I feel it would be beneficial for their users. If they really cared they easily could and it's not unheard of. A lot of industries set ceiling prices for their products.

February 10, 2014 6:52 p.m.

Didgeridooda says... #40

I believe Wasteland could be a good fit here too.

February 17, 2014 1:44 p.m.

Devonin says... #41

If it was the intention of WOTC that these products be sold for 500%-1000% of their MSRP, one assumes they'd be CHARGING more than the same percentage of MSRP they do on everything else, so -they- get ANY more of the money instead of leaving the entire massive margin for the LGS.

February 17, 2014 1:45 p.m.

Didgeridooda says... #42

Gotta throw your people a bone every now and then.

February 17, 2014 1:48 p.m.

8vomit says... #43

Im gunna get one, thats awesome! I love the FTV sets. Too bad I just bought damnations bc I bet they will be in it.

February 17, 2014 1:53 p.m.

katarhero says... #44

All Eldrazi! And Grislebrand!

February 17, 2014 6:27 p.m.

Savage Twister is a good guess for the art revealed.

I think it might be Sulfuric Vortex , no one specified that the devastation contained in this product had to be immediate destruction.

February 17, 2014 7:29 p.m.

katarhero says... #46

Winter Orb That card is Satan incarnate.

February 17, 2014 8:11 p.m.

Devonin says... #47

@katarhero but has nothing to do with annihilation.

February 18, 2014 11:21 a.m.

ChiefBell says... #48

it's my favourite card at the moment :D

February 18, 2014 11:22 a.m.

DukeNicky says... #49

I think what people are forgetting is that MSRP is just a guideline, not the law. It's the suggested retail price and stores can or can't abide by it, so long as people buy price will be nearly whatever. With limited editions like this it;s of course going to be higher up there. Now if WOTC introduced a MAP system with the Vault series then everyone would be able to get it fairly, although the supply would be non existent. Magic is first and foremost a Collectible Card Game and therfore it's bound to not be 100% "fair" for everyone to get something equally. I am overall stoked for this set to be sure though and hope I can snag it for as close to MSRP as possible.
