Since the official reveal of Wastes as basic lands, do you think they will be included in the land packs of Oath fat packs?

It's likely, but they may be sparse kinda like evolving wilds.

I don't see why not. If they didnt, the price for wastes would be blown far out of proportion, like Shadowborn Apostle.

I wouldn't imagine so. If you watch this video here, Ian Duke (the lead designer of Oath of the Gatewatch) states that you will not be able to pick any number of basic Wastes to add to your limited pool, but instead Wastes will be twice as common as normal commons in regular booster packs. Based on this fact, we can assume that Wastes won't be making their way into the land packs that come with fatpacks.

Except in that tweet from Wizards they confirm it will be in the landpacks...

Ah whoops! Ignore my post then, shoulda clicked that first :P As for the "and, obviously, in boosters" part, that doesn't mean there will be one in every pack since it's been confirmed they'll be twice as common as normal commons and will take up common slots.

Expect to find them about as often as any particular guildgate in RTR packs. And yes, fatpacks will definitely be in the $50-60 range again. If Wastes continue to show up, people will want the full art versions hands down. If they are for this set only, obviously the commander market will decimate the tiny supply.

BFZ fatpacks aren't $50-60 because of the land packs (you can buy the same number of lands from TCGP, SCG, or CFB for much cheaper). They're $50-60 because the print was reduced drastically because of how many Fate Reforged fatpacks Wizards still had in their warehouses. LGS's increased their selling price to make up for the fatpacks that weren't sent to them so they wouldn't lose profit or so they'd be able to pay their employees.

Oath fatpacks will only be in the $50-60 range if Wizards drastically reduces the print run like they did with BFZ. I can't imagine them making the same mistake twice.
