Original Zendikar Fetchlands Reprinted???

Spoilers, Rumors, and Speculation forum

Posted on July 7, 2015, 12:52 a.m. by Kayametra

Will the original Zendikar fetchlands be reprinted in Battle for Zendikar? I can see it either way. If WotC reprints them, more players have access to better cards at lower prices. On the other hand, all ten fetchlands are already all legal in Modern now.

Any thoughts?

There are many thoughts...this gets asked every week. It will happen at some point during the block, maybe not BfZ but eventually.

I think flavor-wise it would be the best time to reprint. I can only hope they do.

Holy 5,000th thread on this topic batman, use the search feature. This has been talked about for literally the last six months.

My thoughts:

This has already been asked at least a half dozen other times. Go search through those threads. You will probably find more information. You really shouldn't post new threads unless you have new pertinent information to add to the discussion. As it stands, you're really just cluttering up the forums.

Yeah, every single user on T/O REALLY likes to reiterate things Epoch says in a strange attempt to get some sort of weird favor in his eyes. I for one get tired of people on this site tearing people down who may not know how to use the forums correctly. There's a right way and a wrong way to address things people. Have some tact.

It's not a matter of getting into Epochs good books...

It was intended to lessen the workload on Epoch.

Further, speculation like this isn't that productive. No one actually knows the answer to this so there's not a whole lot of point talking about it. Might happen, might not. Is there more to say than that?

@tempest haha I was thinking the same thing. I was like how is he gonna tell the guy not to post anything unless he has new and pertinent information when all he's doing is repeating what someone else said. I mean maybe he didn't create a new thread but he also didn't come up with new and pertinent information, so how is that any different lol.

@TheBoraxKid I know exactly what you mean. I swear there are people on here that don't even play magic and don't even care about the game. It's like they're only here to tell people that they screwed up whenever they post something.

Like with the spoilers for example. People were told if they wanted to have more in depth discussion about specific cards, then it was ok to start a new thread about that card and not just comment on the official spoiler thread. But every time someone made a thread about a specific card there would be a dozen people telling them how this is being talked about in the main spoiler thread and they're just screwing up by making a new one. They're so eager to tell people their doing something wrong that they don't even realize when they are the ones making the mistake. I think it's hilarious lol.

Make A thread, As in one...

It is enforced to prevent too many threads talking about the same thing, It is enforced so that these questions can be answered to a greater degree of accuracy and those answers condensed into one post instead of diluted accross many.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA thanks for proving my point. That is literally what I was talking about right there. I didn't say they were making the 100th thread on that specific card. I said as soon as one is made everyone jumps down their throat telling them it's being discussed in the main spoiler thread. So pointing out that "A" thread means "1", is kinda like pointing out that the sky is blue. Obvious and irrelevant. Maybe you should take the time to read things before you try and respond.

Anyways, regardless of what you think your arguing, when you have hundreds of people with 0 authority over anyone else and 0 control over this site trying to enforce the rules, then you end up with a bunch of people who just look like power hungry morons who are sucking up to Epoch. In which case, nothing you guys say will matter because no one will care. So before you try and argue how what you guys are doing is right and for the betterment of the site, keep in mind that you have no authority over anyone on this site or the site itself so no one cares what you say, ESPECIALLY if your just doing it to make Epoch's life easier.

Or you know, users are tired of seeing the same thread started over and over again.....

abenz419 - Irrelevant. Having power or not doesn't mean you gain or lose the power to suggest actions to people. If I gave up on all the things I didn't have definitive power over than I wouldn't get very far. There is NOTHING wrong with making a suggestion in a kind way. However, I concede that a lot of these requests leave a lot to be desired in the politeness front. Furthermore, these calls for not reposting etc shouldn't happen on first postings only on repeats. It is concerning that it is happening on first-posts.

Though we do still have problems with repeat posts.

No I'm 100% positive that pointing out that "A" thread referred to "1" thread was completely irrelevant since it had nothing to do with what was said before hand. It also had nothing to do with the power someone has to make suggestions, because I never said there was anything wrong with people making suggestions. I said people don't care what these others have to say, when all their doing is browsing the site looking for people to bitch at. Pretending you have the authority to go around and correct everyone you've perceived to be wrong is not the same as making a suggestion to someone. Also, no one suggest that you should search first and see if'ts been discussed before posting, they declare it. It's always said as, your supposed to do it this way, not that way. There's no suggestions being made there, just declarations being made by people with no authority.

@Rocknj06 Or you know, who cares. It doesn't matter how tired people are of seeing the same post over and over again. People aren't going to care what you say, because like I said, you have no authority over them or this site. In fact, the more and more you people pretend to have the authority to correct everyone, the less and less people will care what you are actually saying. So when you do actually have something important to say, no one is going to pay attention to it.

abenz419 I do not pretend, nor do I wish to have any authority on this site. Nor do I correct people on this site, I was just expressing why people were repeating the same thing over and over again at the beginning of the thread. A simple search would show that this topic has been discussed before, as well as having better responses to maybe answer the question posed in the OP. Just like a quick search would show that I am not very active in this site, at least anymore, and when I do make a statement, it is usually on a deck that I admire and have legitimate advice/thoughts on. Clumping us all into a group of "you people" shows judgement on your part that may not be based on the assumption that people are jerks because of a response to a first time post.... However, the answers were clearly of annoyance from the community, and were all constructive.... to a point.... and still gave a response to the question. And bringing up the "boy who cried wolf"... Think of it this way... If a poster continuously posts subjects that were arleady discussed, when he/she has a subject that may be of interest, they may not get any feedback because of the content they usually post. Attacking users for saying that this subject has already been discussed is worse, in my opinion than what they did...

Can we stop having this discussion yet?

You seem to have the idea that everyone who is trying to help is also abusing people in the forums.

That just isn't correct, You are correct that people shouldn't be yelling at people in the main spoiler thread or the first thread on a specific card/mechanic being discussed in another thread and you have already voiced this problem to Chief and I'm sure that the appropriate action will be taken to prevent this further.

Just because people try and help enforce forum rules does not mean they think they have authority in the community.

Geez... These threads... A lesson for all of T/O: be respectful and courteous. Respect people's intelligence and trust that correcting them once will get the message across. Be courteous when pointing out mistakes.

abenz419- I agree that people can often make mistakes when pointing other people's mistakes. But step back and think about what you said. Read your posts again and tell me it wasn't super inflated with ego or arrogance. Even if you're right, phrasing your thoughts like that tend to garner criticism.

Essentially don't worry about the sawdust on another's eye when there's a plank in your own. Did this on my phone so I feel like it might be clunky but hopefully I got my point across not only to abenz419 but also the people I addressed at the beginning of my post
