Its not on the site yet for those who havent seen the card

Pearl lake acient 5UUCreature- Leviathan 6/7FlashPearl lake acient cant be countered Prowess ( when ever you cast a non creature spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until the end of the turnReturn three lands you control to their owners hands: return pearl lake acient to its owners hand

I find a nice fatty for a blue control deck im still testing it, mainly the bounce ability I like costly as it is, its the closest replacement to the sad loss of AEtherling flash well timed could make this quite tricky to get rid of. All in all im in favour of it. Your thoughts? is there a better fatty out there in blue?

I like it. Really, I thought of Aetherling as a 7 drop because you need to leave that one blue open just in case of removal.

Doesn't seem playable in constructed. Flash is the only thing I really like about it. Its method of protecting itself seems very prohibitive, and it can be chump blocked all day.

I don't think it's at all comparable to AEtherling .

I'm in. I will be running this in my Kraken control deck, at least to test it out once Khans hits. Flash is amazing and should not be underestimated. The bounce is handy too, costly as it is. It won't see a ton of play, or maybe any at all, but it's a fun card.

As for better fatties in blue? I like Tromokratis and Stormtide Leviathan and I run them both in my deck. But the innate flash on this guy could really push him. Like i said, he'll be making an appearance for me here:

Control the Krakens *rotation-ready*(FNM update)

I agree with sujrondc, it is a fun card for casual games but for competitive standard it wont get very far.

For commander i think he can be used in some blue decks, with ones that focus on getting big creatures out he can fit right in.

jr92_2000 I did say closest to AEtherling he's certainly not that good. Chump blocked he can be, but in a control deck with the right board wipes you could be hitting with him easy enough. But It is going to be my first competitive FNM standard once karns comes out so I'll take your word on its playability.

sujrondc im currently using Tromokratis in my izzet raptor's izzetcontrol I like him better then Stormtide Leviathan due to the hex proof limited as it is.

Really just looking for a big hitter to end a match with that izzet control deck, who has some decent protection
