Here it is What do you think of this boardwipe?
Instant-speed exile? EDH staple. Going to compete with Nevinyrral's Disk for spots in decks.

I prefer my Magus of the Disk , works to well with my Reveillark .

Creatures are easily removed. Artifacts tend to be harder to get rid of. Also, Magus of the Disk has WW in the casting cost which eliminates many decks from using him and puts constraints on mana bases.

It's value town, to be sure.
Dang, M15 is shaping up to be Commander, the Core Set. New Nissa, new Ajani, Soul of New Phyrexia, Perilous Vault, new Ob Nixilis, Hornet Queen, In Garruk's Wake, Mercurial Pretender, Genesis Hydra, Obelisk of Urd, and new Slivers...

The set's definitely heavier in money than what we've grown accustomed to as of late. I really dig the art on this one too. It's got way more flavor than the disk...

Maybe the core sets are going to be this good or better from now on?

Every color can now play a turn 5 boardwipe. Is that good or bad? Seems like it would open the door to strange colored control decks.

Omnath EDH loves this card, I just realized. Ramp, ramp, Omnom, ramp, ramp, this thing, clear board, replay Omnom, win games.

@aeonstoremyliver Do you know what a functional reprint is? Lightning Strike is a functional reprint of Searing Spear , but two cards that have similar effects but are not exact same functionally are not functional reprints.

@jonhydude Are you seriously splitting hairs with me in this one? They're enough alike to be called a functional reprint. I'm well aware of what it means or I wouldn't have said it. My Old Fogey ass actually played with Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning when both were in print. Functional enough.

One costs 3, One costs 4. One destroys, One Exiles. The one which destroys also gives you the ability to save certain specific other cards, and also can work with Triad of Fates to protect more than a few things. They're only similar in the same way that Oblivion Stone and Planar Cleansing are "functionally the same"

@spyroswiz - Tron will not be using that. The initial 4 casting cost is a lot worse than the 3. I can't count the amount of times I cast O-Stone on turn 3 after using both the Mine and PPlant to fetch my Tower to go online. Also, 8 mana to drop and crack on turn 4 is way easier than 9. And to top it off, All Is Dust is still there for an alternative.
I may be wrong, but as a Tron player myself, I like the fact that you can fate counter your stuff with o-stone and All is Dust doesn't touch your stuff. Maybe a singleton will find its way into the 75 somewhere. ;-)

This just allowed Grixis control a NORMAL board wipe...and a way to deal with stupid enchantments!!
Long live Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker !!!

This is going in my Brago, King Eternal EDH deck.
Hit with Brago... Exile everything I have... Use this to Exile everything else... Return all my stuff at end of turn.
June 26, 2014 10:21 a.m.
I feel this could replace Supreme Verdict post rotation. But I guess a lot of control decks do run non-land permanents... and a lot of them.
June 26, 2014 10:29 a.m.
@Rayenous That doesn't work. Once you actually exile things with Brago, they are exiled and returned all at once during the resolution of the ability. They don't come back at end of turn, they just blink during the ability.
June 26, 2014 10:31 a.m.
Black/red/Grixis EDH decks need those cards urgently, there can't be enough of them.
June 26, 2014 11:14 a.m.
Rayenous: That's not how Brago, King Eternal works. The nonland permanents he exiles return immediately, before you can respond with exiling Perilous Vault, thus all your stuff gets hit by the vault too.

This won't see play in standard unless someone makes a permanentless deck, which would probably be shit.

Irony:
"This won't see play...unless someone makes a permanentless deck."
Perilous Vault is a permanent. Lands are permanents.
No offense intended, it just struck me as funny.
July 6, 2014 11:26 a.m.
Schuesseled is obviously aware of the nonland specification on the card, good sir.

@Matsi883 Obviously I meant no permanent other than the vault and the land you'd need to cast it and the other spells. Landless decks are an entirely different concept.

I know, I know, I know. I just thought the phrasing was funny when I saw it.

I think it will make my Karn EDH deck.
