Planeswalker Equipment

Just had a random thought, but how cool would it be if they made equipment for planeswalkers? It could probably only happen in another round of commander precons with planeswalker generals, but I think the idea sounds interesting.
Possibilities include
Giving new loyalty abilities (most likely either a zero or minus one ability)
Increasing costs (choose a loyalty ability of equipped planeswalker and increase it by one. There's a greater reward for increasing a minus over a plus)
Giving alternate ways to earn loyalty counters. For example: Once per turn, when a creature enters the battlefield under your control, you may put a loyalty counter on equipped planeswalker.
There's also the possibility of certain keywords (nothing that only works on creatures, something like Exalted maybe)
It's a somewhat difficult design space, making good cards without making walkers even more busted, but it has potential.
The idea intrigues me simply because it would encourage building a deck around planeswalkers. It wouldn't be splashable, but anything that screams "build around me!" is interesting.
It would have to be low cost, too. The Chain Veil was a good idea but too CMC expensive.

Also, this isn't really a Custom Card post so much as it is a speculation thread about future card ideas.

I like the idea but its a wasted card if you don't have a planeswalker. It would be cool if it also gave a small effect for when you don't have a planeswalker to equip.

I think if something like this was actually printed it would find a home in many casual planeswalker decks but being so niche, it wouldn't see much play anywhere else (like the chain veil)

Perhaps a card that could be equipped to a creature or Planeswalker. With a clause like "if it's equipped to a Planeswalker, then...(additional beneficial thing)."
Makes such a card more viable since it doesn't solely depend upon drawing a walker to go with it.

I think it would work better as an enchantment, personally. Too many rules issues with equipment equiping non-creatures.

I remember a custom set with Equipment with Array: it could be attached to you or a planeswalker you control.
I doubt planeealker exclusive Equipment will be printed, but Array could work.

I have no idea what array is, sorry.
It would have to be a new type of artifact, for rules purposes. Much like Fortification is to land what Equipment is to creatures. It would be a lot of rules-changing for a small effect that could be accomplished as an Enchantment under current rules (and if you really want to be able to use it on multiple planeswalkers (although I think that almost certainly makes it OP) you could include a ": return CARDNAME to your hand" line.)

What would be better is if you had equipment for non creature permanent

maybe equipment that can be equipped to creatures or planes walkers but has the added benefit for planes walkers, i would love to see one that turns a walker into an x/x where x is its loyalty so that it can bite back when hit by a creature, i think its an interesting concept.

clowe304433 that would be way to niche and restrictive, no-one would play it except in casual/EDH superfriends.

Everything can be playable, depending on the costing and/or other benefits.

I think that an enchantment would be more likely and less problematic.

I'm not overly impressed by the idea. Planeswalkers are already pretty uncommon in most decks. Those that do get played are played because they function well as standalone utility engines. They're not meant to require support, and it's highly unlikely that anyone would want to include planeswalker support cards when there are only four or fewer planeswalkers in most decks to begin with.
