Plea for Guidance 5w
Sorcery Rare
Search your library for up to two enchantment cards, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
Illus. Terese Nielsen #24/165
This card fits perfectly in my EDH, and i cannot wait to get my hands on it for that.
Not as good as Three Dreams . I mean Plea for guidance does get any 2 enchantments for 6, but Dreams gets three for 5...

The major difference here is that plea can get enchantment creatures, or big enchantments like Primeval Bounty . With that in mind, i'd say these two cards are about equal on power level.

Yeah, I can see that, I just like the ability to get 3. I know that since it is my opinion it is subjective, but still, I feel that running one of each in Commander wouldn't hurt.

i much prefer 2 enchantments for 6 than 3 auras for 5. enchantments create lockouts really easily, but regardless there is plenty of space in a 100 card singleton Deck.

If you didn't notice I did state in my first comment that I knew it got regular enchantments. I just like the idea of 3 cards for 1 less mana than 2 for 1 more mana. True those 2 could be any of these new "God" creature types, but still... not the point. No wait, that is the point.

Not completely unusable in Standard... though it probably won't see play.
I'm thinking Bant Ramp, with Prophet of Kruphix ... T 4 or 5... search for 2 Gods... untap on their turn... cast 1 or both Gods.
Alternatively, in a U/W pillow fort style deck. - Quicken into this, and get required defensive enchantments (Sphere of Safety ?) at the end of an opponents turn.

Plea for guidance, fetching Form of the Dragon and Second Chance with Hanna, Ship's Navigator on the battlefield. Hooray!

@Devonin ooh thats nasty, is Zedruu the Greathearted
your commander?
January 22, 2014 10:49 a.m.
@Baycer Yup. Deck revolves around pillow-forting until you can tutor/draw into Enduring Ideal preferably with as many of Fork , Twincast , Reverberate and other copying effects can be piled on.
Fetching Lucent Liminid and Eldrazi Conscription with Enduring Ideal is my idea of a good time.

@Devonin you know you can donate enchantments that are enchanting you to other players, and the are still enchanting you, giving you the benefit of zedruu without the downside. also Paradox Haze gives you another upkeep so you get double the Enduring Ideal fun!

@Baycer I know, the whole idea though is for the goal to be fetching 3 or 4 or 5 enchantments a turn. Gives you a much faster win.
I mean, the deck also does Hive Mind + Enduring Ideal and Hive Mind + Pact of Negation
It's more intended to be the deck I pull out for round 2, when someone in round 1 has proven to be a douchebag.

This is one of those cards that will be picked last in a draft. Other than EDH, I don't see any use for it.

@Devonin ah, that does sound quite... evil. but hilarious to spectate.

With the number of powerful Enchantments in the block.. I certainly don't see it being a last pick. - Not often first... but definitely not last on a regular basis... like Battle of Wits was.

Ah, awesome! 'Search your library' is definitely my favorite term in Magic, proceeded directly by 'draw a card'.
I don't think it'll see any standard play at all, but this is a great Commander card for sure.
