Wait... i just realized these are all key figures on zendi.... i have a REAL bad feeling 1+ of these guys are gunna die, which would throw ALL TEN planes mentioned into whack because eldrazi sealed but five walkers dead. We saw their beginnings and their lives... BFZ is the end for them?! PLEASE NO
hopefully nahiri, noone gives a crud about her, she's been gone since their sealing and all walkers have lost a LOT of power since the mending...

I'm hoping if there is a death it's a non-white walker this time. or sorin. He's had his fair share of time to be alive.

Well, there's a ton of Planeswalkers that COULD show up for BFZ including Sorin, Nissa, Nahiri, Kiora, Ugin, etc. Obviously we will be seeing Gideon for certain.
I would have a hard time believing that no one will die in this story arc, considering the Eldrazi are among the biggest baddies in the Multiverse.
June 16, 2015 9:52 p.m.
for those that know the background behind the eldrazi and such. Nahiri, Gideon, Nissa and Sorin in specific are all key players and will prob show up. I dont want them to Kill Sorin as he hasnt had a good printing since his first mono black version. his last two have....sucked
June 16, 2015 10:09 p.m.
Is anyone else convinced that Nahiri is likely Avacyn? No? Then I'll just go retreat back into my corner....

JA14732 through uncharted realms we know they are different people
June 16, 2015 10:32 p.m.
JA14732 - Well, considering Sorin made Avacyn and met Nahiri on Zendikar, I would say that's pretty open-&-closed.

Chandra and Jace will probably show up in some way against the Eldrazi, since they were part of the reason they escaped
June 16, 2015 11:51 p.m.
I dont think Sorin MADE Avacyn. Wasnt he just one who released her by opening the Helvault, in turn also releasing Greiselbrand.

ApocryphalSaint Sorin did make avacyn, See?
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben was tricked into releasing Avacyn with Griselbrand by Liliana. also in article linked
June 17, 2015 12:25 a.m. Edited.
No. Hw actually created her to protect the humans and stop the vampires from overfeeding.
And what are you on, ApocryphalSaint. The last 2 sorins have been fantastic. The mono black one sees no none commander play but the the two WB ones see modern play in tokens and midrange decks and the first WB one sees fringe legacy.
June 17, 2015 12:25 a.m.
thanks VampireArmy Im obviously wrong. :)
LeaPlath hmm. "fringe" is the key word for legacy. and the one that sees modern is Tier 2.5 atm. Sorin Markov does see Commander play. his WB version are far too similar IMO to even want to count them as different. the second one is more like WB Sorin Revised.
different Meta's where I am I guess.

Sorry about that. I love Innistrad lore is all. Hope I didn't come off too strong there

My bold prediction: Elspeth returns: As a big, bad Legendary Angel. Anyone else wanna see her fight alongside Iona? Idk I just thought it would be cool.
June 17, 2015 12:34 a.m.
is there a place to read all the Uncharted Realms? Or would I need to like buy a million fucking books?

That's not even all. Some old ones from the old site weren't merged over. The rest.
June 17, 2015 1:54 a.m.
vishnarg, YES PLEASE! i was devastated and pretty indignant that elspeth, another, white planeswalker was killed off.
I'm predicting that sorin, nahiri, and ugin will show up because they were involved in the first sealing.
Jace, Chandra, and sarkhan will show up because they were involved in the release
Gideon, Nissa, and Kiora will show up because they have personal ties to Zendikar.
We might even see more planeswalkers considering 2 of the big 3 are in the blind eternities and the planeswalkers are searching for more planeswalkers for reinforcements. Haven't seen Bolas in awhile...
June 17, 2015 2:28 a.m.
I really don't see Sorin, Nahiri or Ugin making an appearance in BFZ.
When Sorin released Ugin from the crucible, the discussion which ensued showed that Nahiri is abandoned Zen and Sorin may know where she is. There clearly has been a 'falling-out' between Nahiri and Sorin (to the point that Sorin believed it possible that Nahiri could have been responsible for trapping Ugin in the crucible)
Ugin has stated that he would remain on Tarkir to rest, and that he would await the rerun of Sorin and Nahiri.
This lengthy interaction between Ugin and Sorin would be completely unnecessary if it did not allude to further lore in which Sorin will be in search of Nahiri, and some sort of conflict ensues.
Also, Ulamog seems to be the only remaining Eldrazi on Zendikar. When the trio once agin attempts to seek out the Eldrazi, they will likely want all remaining Eldrazi to be on one Plane.
For BFZ, I would speculate Gideon (obviously), Nissa, Kiora, a New PW from Ravnica (found by Gideon during his search at the time of RTR), and another new (or possibly only fairly new... 1 previous printing) Walker.
I could also be possible that only 4 Walkers show up to fight against Ulamog... and that one fights with Ulamog... Nicol Bolas perhaps..?

canterlotguardian says... #26
Sadface... Ulamog is my least favorite of the Eldrazi titans. So bland. Kozilek is my favorite.
June 17, 2015 8:51 a.m.
We won't see Elspeth until we return to Theros.
Eldrazi-linked planeswalkers:
Sorin
Nahiri
Ugin
Nissa
Kiora
Gideon
They will probably all make an appearance in the Uncharted Realms, but that's too many to include in card form. Large sets typically have 2 planeswalkers and small sets have 1 (Core sets being an exception). They also limit the amount of color overlap among all the 'walkers included in a set, or at least how the ideals of the overlapping colors are portrayed. Also, a new Planeswalker is typically introduced.
My guess is we'll see Kiora, Gideon, and a new B/R Walker (Ramaz?) in card form. Kiora has to do SOMETHING with Thassa's bident that doesn't involve waving it around the multiverse.
June 17, 2015 9:15 a.m.
We'll have 5 Planeswalkers in this set: 3-2. Based on that, I think Nahiri and Bolas will also be in the block.
June 17, 2015 9:28 a.m.
Asher18 - I doubt we will see Domri on Zendikar. - Though I like the character, I think that he, bing new to his powers, may still be a little inexperienced to take on Eldrazi.
I would expect that it will be a PW in .
In a recent UR story, Gideon (arguably) was seen by Ral Zarek (and detected by other Izzet members) coming and going from the Boros region... presumably communicating/coordinating with a PW from there.
June 17, 2015 10:23 a.m.
I suspect Ugin to return as well...It would be interesting if they would throw in an Eldrazi Walker.
Personally I also think some walkers will die here: leaves more room for the new ones :) (owww, that sounds a bit to much Jaya Ballard - who also is a walker)
June 17, 2015 10:37 a.m.
The Eldrazi already walk between the planes, so an Eldrazi planeswalker makes little sense.
June 17, 2015 10:41 a.m.
@JWiley129 - They don't really planeswalk. Eldrazi are non-corporeal and exist only in the Blind Eternities, so what we see on Zendikar are just manifestations of their power.
June 17, 2015 10:48 a.m.
meecht - You're correct. Besides, I don't think we can call how the Eldrazi move "walking".

I hope Chandra is on Zendikar. She hasn't had a card in an actual block since literally the original Zendikar block.
June 17, 2015 1:54 p.m.
I'm with GoldGhost012, but I don't necessarily see it. Chandra has no ties to Zendikar like Gideon or Jace do.
And by ties I mean loyalty to Zendikar. Gideon and Jace both want to stop the Eldrazi threat, I don't think Chandra feels the same way.
June 17, 2015 1:56 p.m. Edited.
GoldGhost012 says... #38
Aye, it's not very likely but I just want her to be in a block again dammit.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if more walkers show up in BfZ/on Zendikar than have cards printed for them. Like I could see Sorin, Ugin, Kiora, maybe Sarkhan coming back to the plane but not getting cards.

Psyloarchy says... #39
Honestly, I highly doubt that Nihiri will be in BFZ. As said in the UR, Sorin knows a place where Nahiri is likely to be; if Sorin has to fetch her, said fetching will most likely have it's own block.

Jace dies, Lili resurrects him, Jace becomes the official Esper planeswalker.
June 20, 2015 1:52 a.m.
Does that mean zendikar is going to fall to the eldrazi if nahiri and sorin aren't there to seal the eldrazi? Or will a different force seal them? Or will the eldrazi be eradicated from zendikar and the next block be about nahiri, sorin, and ugin...
June 20, 2015 11:43 a.m.
Why would Kiora return? I forgot the lore about that, is she originally from Zendikar? If so, how did she end up on Theros?
Anyway, I think it would he cool to see Ugin and Bolas throw down, maybe not in this block but the next one hopefully. I definitely expect Ugin to be in BFZ, and maybe they'll have conflicting opinions on the Eldrazi; the famous dragon planeswalker rivals will duel again on thia front. I think Wizards would make a block about that.
June 20, 2015 12:03 p.m.
golffore297 says... #43
vishnarg-Kiora is originally from Zendikar. She traveled to Theros to study the Sea Monsters there in hopes to find a sufficent way to combat the Eldrazi. She ended up stealing Thassa's Bident.
June 20, 2015 12:18 p.m.
sarkhan is never coming back, ever. His mind is clear and he is in absolute paradise. maybe if something happens on tarkir later (not likely, only figure of importance there is ugin)he will come back, but in all essentiality sarkhan is done
June 21, 2015 1:44 p.m.
shinobigarth says... #46
Who said anything about Sarkhan? It's clear his story arc is done, probably for good.
June 21, 2015 5:33 p.m.
canterlotguardian says... #47
No... Sarkhan is my favorite 'Walker. Damn it, why do my favorite important lore figures always end up having their stories cut off?
June 21, 2015 5:42 p.m.
asasinater13 says... #49
wizards doesn't want to be "done" with planeswalkers, they're too rare an occurrence in the multiverse to want to waste the pre-existing ones. maybe they won't use sarkhan for a few blocks, but him and narset will show up together again.
June 21, 2015 8:35 p.m.
uhh, Jace? ral? tibalt? vraska? domri? ashiok? dark? the commander walkers minus nahiri? these are all walkers wizards are "done" with, and probably won't see another card (jace is kinda stuck on ravnica, being the guildpact and all. Nothing to him after origins)
JWiley129 says... #2
Well, Gideon is the only 'walker confirmed to be on Zendikar for BFZ so far. But I wouldn't put it past Creative to kill one of the planeswalkers to help deal with the Eldrazi threat.
