Possible Return to Zendikar in the near future???

I think that there may be a chance we will be returning to zendikar sometime in the near future.

Here is what MaRo said today on his article:

"This, of course, means we're setting ourselves up for our next return to Zendikar to include a two-mana artifact that taps for one or for "1, T, Sacrifice" draws you a card."

He is implying that there may be another zendikar block sometime.

What do you guys think?

Um, return to Zendikar just happened. We won't be returning back for a while. I think will return in the future, but not in the near future. Also, the card you talked about already exists. It's called Mind Stone.

I'm pretty sure he was making a joke about Mind Stone which is just half a Hedron Archive.

Why can't we just enjoy the fact that the new set is coming. We just had the prerelease and people are already wondering the NEXT time we come back? We just got back! It's like getting to your destination for vacation and thinking "you know, this is nice, but what about the next vacation we go on?"

Also, there may not BE a next time. There may not be a Zendikar.

The fucking set didn't even come out yet.

Planes we will never return to:

Dominaria, because it's a smoldering crater

New Phyrexia, because it's an oily crater

Zendikar, because we've been there twice and honestly it's getting old

Shandalar, because the core sets are over

Kamigawa, because it was broken af cards mixed with bulk filler. Also waaaaaaaay too many legends.

Lorwyn/Shadowmoor, because really, where can you go after eternal night?

September 28, 2015 6:48 p.m.

I think someone is going to have their spark ignited after the eldrazi are put in stasis and travels to a new plane called Turtleville. And it will have five crazily overpowered planeswalkers: Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Nahiri. (PLOT TWIST)

Planes we will probably return to:

Dominaria, because it's Magic's homeworld.

New Phyrexia, because Phyrexians are unique, iconic, and popular villains.

Zendikar (not very likely), because it is a major part of the huge multi-block story they are telling now.

Shandalar/Vryn/Kaladesh, because it hasn't been visited in a real block yet.

Kamigawa, because the flavor is great and it's been a while. Wizards has learned it's lesson.

Lowryn/Shadowmoor, for the same reasons as Kamigawa, and it is actually apparently a popular plane.

The never return to list should also include: Rabiah, Phyrexia, Mirrodin.

why all the ragging on mirrodin/phyrexia?

September 28, 2015 8:28 p.m.

Both no longer exist.

September 28, 2015 8:30 p.m.

mathimus55 says... #13

You realize you saod we should go to New Phyrexia and not go to Mirrodin when they're the same plane right? Mirrodin was taken over to become New Phyrexia. That's like saying "we should go to Tarkir but not the Khans of Tarkir". They're in essence the same place, just a progression of each other.

September 28, 2015 8:42 p.m.

Do we call America by it's Cherokee name? The Phyrexians completely changed Mirrodin. Mirrodin does not exist anymore. New Pyrexia does. The colonists came to America and nearly obliterated the native culture, as did the Phyrexians to the Mirrans. But do we call America anything but that?

mathimus55 says... #15

Then why would you refer to Mirrodin like it existed then? Stating that it's an option(or lack thereof) hints that it's still a place

September 28, 2015 10:33 p.m.

He stated outright that it isn't an option. "Never returning to" says that rather neatly.

Also, the Kamigawa should, unfortunately, be on the never returning to list. If I remember correctly, it was eaten by Nicol Bolas. I may be wrong, though, just think I remember reading that somewhere.

September 28, 2015 10:47 p.m.

ItchiUchiha117 That might be Alara you're thinking of. And I don't really think Nicol Bolas likes Japanese food.

mathimus55, to continue my previous analogy, people still reference Native American cultures do they not? Citation: I just did, so my comment is a citation for my comment. Citation: the movie Inception.

I believe Oath of the Gatewatch is going to be set in a plane called Zendikar. So, yes, we will soon return to Zendikar.
