Prophetic Flamespeaker question

With Prophetic Flamespeaker 's ability, are you able to cast instants that are exiled when he deals first strike damage before he deals regular combat damage? Somebody told me this was the case, but it sounded too good to be true. I'm still pretty new so I just wanted to be absolutely sure.

That is precisely what happens. Between when first strike and regular damage are dealt, there is a round of priority, at the beginning of which Prophetic Flamespeaker 's ability goes on the stack, and ultimately resolves. After it resolves, you still have priority to cast instants, including the one exiled with the Flamespeaker.

By the way, rules questions should be asked in the Q&A in future.

The "You may play it this turn" basically means that you can cast the play as if would be in your hand. After first strike damage has been dealt, the trigger goes on the stack. After that triggers has resolved, players need to pass priority over an empty stack at which point in time they could cast instants, even the ones being exiled with the ability.

Lands, sorceries and creatures without flash can obviously only be played in the second main phase.
