Who would love to have a Rakdos Planeswalker in Journey into Nyx? What are the odds of that happening?
I'd really love that, but I guess I'll have to wait a little longer.
Indeed, Ajani will be there for sure (white, RW or GW).

Since there will be a RW God i don't think Ajani will be RW

JSaibot When it comes to planeswalkers they do not tend to care about how they balance the other multicolored cards or even mono-colored cards. I do feel like he needs a second color, but no clue which. G/W just doesn't seem him, and he is no longer vengeant so R/W does not seem right either. :/
January 25, 2014 10:01 a.m.
He's Mono-white again, and there's no real reason in the story yet for that to change.
January 25, 2014 10:18 a.m.
Ajani was originally from Naya, lore-wise, so a G/W version of him makes sense.
January 25, 2014 11:50 a.m.
Except that their colours are often the result in changes to their personal storylines.
Ajani Goldmane was mono-white. When he had cause to be vengeful, we got Ajani Vengeant in R/W, and now he's back to mono-white in Ajani, Caller of the Pride . So far as I know, nothing has really changed for him enough to change his colour identity at this point except a couple rounds from the Deus Ex Machinegun.
If "He's from naya" isn't enough to -stop- him being red when he's sufficiently pissed off, "he's from naya" isn't enough to justify making him G/W "just because"
January 25, 2014 11:59 a.m.
But then, you could argue that him being from Naya is good reason for us to expect to see a G/W Ajani, since being born and raised in that shard would influence his character.
It's true that a planeswalker's colors are usually dependent on their philosophy/mental state in that particular moment, but really we haven't seen much of Ajani recently to judge that he's changed character. G/W, being allied colors, share a lot of color philosophies, so a shift to those colors is very reasonable.

I think I saw a picture of Ajani and Elspeth facing off against Xenagos, God of Revels . In the picture, Ajani was wearing a green cloak. I'm not sure if it means anything, and Ajani Goldmane wears green as well, but I hope it's a sign! Maybe Selesnya will finally get a planeswalker.

Yes Ajani will be there and no Rakdos planeswalker will be in the set. I'm one of many who'd love one. If I had it my way there would be one in every set. I'm biased though.

JSaibot there's gonna be one god for every color combination. If there's a multicolored Planeswalker, it's gonna match up with a god...

I was hoping for one in BNG alas i doubt we'll get one in the next set either i doubt wizard will put two planeswalkers in the next set if we only got one in this set and as many people have already said Ajani most likely has that slot due to the artwork.

Has there been any confirmation by Wizards that Ajani will be in the set?
As there is only 1 Planeswalker in BotG, I would assume it is likely that the next 165 card expansion may only have one (especially since 'Gods" are taking up 5 Mythic slots)... and we still haven't seen Dak Faden.
Also, I doubt that Wizards would print 2 mono-white PW's in a same block. If there is another Ajani, I do feel that it would be 2 color.... and since there's no story (thus far) stating why he would be another color, I don't see how it would fit.

The pattern I've noticed is there's 5 walker cards per block. So I'm sure we'll see one in journey. Most likely ajani. Cause we already have Elspeth, Ashiok, Xenagos, and now Kiora in Born of the Gods.
January 25, 2014 7:31 p.m.
@MisterRoach Do you think there will be no Dak Fayden?
When Theros was announced, everyone was excited to see him. Then the first 3 PW's of Theros were announced and everyone was disappointed that he wasn't in the first set of the block.
... now that everyone is thinking it's Ajani, no one has even mentioned him.
I to believe that there will only be one more... but if it's Ajani, the question remains, "What colors?". Wizards has never printed 2 PW's of the same color scheme in the same block... which makes sense to me. I guess they could decide to, but I don't see it.

Mr. Fayden should be interesting to see. Maybe he will be the Centerpoint to the next block? I could see wizards doing that with as much as he's being built up lorewise. Cause for all we know that cat fighting along Elspeth is Brimaz, King of Oreskos

We will have to wait for Dak. There's no indication he will be and isn't part of the story. The showed him going to Theros and that's it. He is a thief, my guess is he'll be in a set where there's an artifact to swipe in the story.

@lookoutimscary what JSaibot likely meant was Ajani won't be RW in Journey because the RW mythic slot would be occupied by Iroas.
@MisterRoach the leonin in the Journey promotional art is very likely Ajani because you can see him holding the same kind of axe that Ajani wields and is similarly albino like Ajani.
I could see Ajani utilizing Green Magic and tapping into his Nayan jungle-cat roots to overcome the Therosian wilds to find Elspeth after she was chased there by the angry Theros natives.

G/W Ajani would be sick. Don't care how likely, still hopeful it happens.

Ajani did have a GW enchantment deck in DOTP 2012...which is the same place they pulled Kiora from. His theme fits there at least. G/W enchantments in an enchantment block.

I would like to see a R/B rendition of Tibalt. He and Nissa deserve a second chance!
January 31, 2014 9:16 p.m.
Completely agree with you, Krayhaft, specially regarding Tibalt.

A new Ajani will probably be in JOU, possibly G/W or maybe just White. It may have a second one, but I think its not very likely
